Not going to happen, sorry to disappoint. They didn’t do it in Dragon Soul, they certainly won’t do it here. It doesn’t make any sense for this type of game.

My idea and his idea are mildly similar.
The only thing different about those ideas are:

Trading items, like badges and chips and XP drinks, would actually be pretty good. Not heroes though. Never heroes

They already have loaning. Its called CW and Surge mercenaries. Personally this is a terrible idea and would never work. People have figured out by now who the good characters are. No one is going to do all the work to unlock a character just to turn it around and trade it. So then that person gets a cool player but didn’t have to do anything? Nope.
Yes, there’s already Mercs, but Loaning is Mercs added to a new level.
