Arena Challenger - why doesn't Merrida Attack?

I am uploading some screen shots from an arena battle. I can’t understand why Merrida doesn’t use her white skill. At the beginning of the 5th second she is still undamaged and has no debuffs. She then gets a small knockback (minimal damage and a hardy absorbs a debuff) and still no white attack. Can anyone explain what is going on? 13 seconds into battle and she suffers the first successful debuff - silence. Surely by 13 seconds she should have used her white skill?

@Polaris an explanation of what is going on here would be much appreciated.

This happens every time or just this fight? I see Angel in the enemy teams, she often causes bugs, as I know.

Every time against this team (ran it 4 or 5 times with variations)

Here we have another example of hero powers not working correctly, Merrida features again but is killed quickly (same with Mushu), both Merrida and Mushu use their white skill at the end of 90 seconds, but by 88 seconds (counting down obviously) neither has moved at all… they both fail to do any damage to anybody.
Sally hangs on for a while and fails to use her white skill

there is simply something not right here… yes I mostly use older heroes, but typically I make division II or III… I never get my behind handed to me on a plate as much as I have this time round (I am in a tough division, but there is something more going on here).

The same has happened to me in my team consisting of Goofy, Hank and Dory, Belle, The Evil Queen and Minnie, only Goofy uses their White Skill.
