That’s probably just someone who spent an irresponsible amount of money on the game. If PerBlue was going to rig it, do you really think they’d be so obvious?
Edit, I’d like to point out that FtN is the most pay to win contest of them all, it would be extremely easy to buy your way to the top.
If this contest is part of “Player Appreciation Week”, I’d hate to see what you developers would do for “We Hate You Guys Week”. 
Server 1 here, we are at 24.16M… this contest is just a big joke
No, we don’t have to give them a break. They’re a major corporation that should be testing these things before releasing them. Just saying, “oh it’s their first time doing this contest” doesn’t cut it. We pay their salaries and don’t deserve this crap.

I put a lot of work into it but now my rank is going down. If I fall below 200 and end up getting nothing for the rank reward like it has listed, I may end up quitting the game. It should have rank rewards for everyone, not just the top 200 in each server.
To this point, what server has come too far?
As of right now, 7:52 pm PST (9:52 pm CST), S14 is up to 28.1 M. At this rate, we will probably hit 40 M tomorrow, but I’m not sure if we will hit 60 M by end of contest.
Server 16 is at 30 Mil. About the same as the rest of you. This contest isn’t possible to finish.
It feels like a deliberate slap in the face. Here are some cool rewards, psych, you’ll never get them. But 200 people who matter way more than you will get something! I feel not appreciated.
True, you got a point. Usually when something it too good to be true, it usually is.

Also as side note, I wondered how exactly creep surge influence figures in? As a lump for the server? How would it affect individual ranks?
