A question: can the character chosen for the contest just be related to monsters, without being necessarily a villain or Halloween themed?
You mean like they are a monster? or do you mean that they are a monster hunter??
I assume monsters and monster hunters would fit as they are both halloweeny, like as long as you can see a clear connection to spookyness

Monster hunter would work. If it has “monster” in the name, that connects to scary and Halloween-themes.
