Actually this is not a typo. “En masse” refers to a group or body of people typically moving in sort fashion either in protest or revolting in some manner. It is derived from french and implemented into the english language sometime as early as 1795-1805 BCE/BC.

Not a problem. It allowed me to learn some etymology and historical context of the amalgamation that is the english language.
