I found Jessie disk for Goofy to be beneficial. It also helps to manually time your active skills. If you’re on auto, your chances are lower to beat harder friend battles. For example, on the Jessie disk for Goofy, I was having trouble on one of the last battles because Elastigirl would 1 hit KO my Jessie, I removed Olaf from the team, it changed Jessie’s position, and I won! Even with 4 heroes instead of 5. None of my heroes were maxed.

If Shank is working as intended, how is she dodging disables? Does one of her disks allow her to do that? As I pointed out earlier, in the Goofy friendship Merlin turns her into a squirrel for 2 seconds and then she reverts back. Merlin’s skill is not locked by a level so how is she doing this? No other character is a problem except Shank.
Nope, just high tenacity.
