Friendship Refresh Overview

OH MY GOSH YESSS!!! I don’t kepp constantly checking levels to unlock friendships anymore!

@Polaris thanks for confirming my question with the memory market.

I’m glad it’s unchanged.

Will there be any advantage to having already levelled up friendships to lv.15 or missions to lv.5?

I guarantee you, we care more about not having to spend as many hero chips (since they’re already used in the extraordinarily expensive red skills and mod advancement) than having access to memories sooner.
Please, either remove hero chips as a requirement to start the missions or raise the amount of memories received. It’s already expensive for a crawling pace.

I can hardly wait

@Polaris If removing all the other friendship story content in missions then I suppose I might be more likely to move on from Disney Heroes sooner than otherwise.

I am not affected by nerfs, nor reward changes, gold changes, or general negative changes to non-story related things, but story removal…, that is likely what may lead to me more likely leaving the game eventually.
If the other friendship story content can still be accessed in another mode than missions it would be really appreciated, I would be up for paying the price of a AAA game for it even though I am a F2Per, just please use the weeks to find another way to preserve the friendship story content. A story archive of some sort would be really appreciated, just a way the story content can be accessed. I suppose it is understandable if characters after this don’t get the mission story content, but all the past mission story content could be preserved in the game in any way?

Disney Heroes’s biggest strength as a game I would say is all its story content compared to the other Disney RPGs on the market like Disney Sorcerer’s Arena and Disney Mirrorverse.
By taking away so much story mission content you take out a part of the heart of Disney Heroes I would say, since what makes Disney Heroes not just a Skinner Box/a grind is all the story content. What made Disney Heroes better where all its story content and likely appealing across the other games.

Story make grinding rewarding, it improves the overall experience of the game I think like better UX(User Experience), so yeah if the old mission story content can be preserved in the game in any way, or even as paid DLC as in the price of a AAA game I think it would be better than losing all the mission story content.
There are still some weeks left, so if you and the team could kind a way to preserve the old mission story content it would be really appreciated and help the game overall be as engaging and fun as it is today.

Regardless it would take too long. It really doesn’t matter when we can collect memories, it matters how long it takes.

@Filadae_Djaq that’s exactly what polaris is getting at.

It takes a long time to get friendships to level 12 to start earning memories. Even longer to get to level 15.

Instead of waiting weeks to actually start earning memories, you can start earning them immediately, but the rate is decreased.

You seem to be discounting the time in how long it takes to actually start earning the memories in the first place.

That only determines when you start. Not how long it takes to earn 320 memories.

@Filadae_Djaq yes.

But what would you prefer: earning 2 memories every day for 100 days, or spending the first 50 days working up being able to earn 4 memoriess every day, and getting 4 memories per day for the final 50 days?

They both work out to 200 tokens over 100 days. It depends whether you want tokens earlier or not.

You can’t completely ignore this and say that the new system sucks because, at best, you get 2 memories every 14 hours, when currently it only takes 10. You need to consider the time it takes to work up to actually being able to earn those 2 memories every 10 hours.

Which is a significant amount of time.

I’d rather have the 4 memories per day deal. Because after 100 days the memories scale more :eyes:

@Filadae_Djaq that was an example. I haven’t done the actual maths required to see how long it takes to get level 15 friendship.

And I assume you haven’t either if you’re still saying that “it doesn’t matter when we can start collecting memories”. Because it does matter. Which is the point of my example.

@Polaris Everything looks good except this part. Let me do some simple math to explain.

To max one disk we would need 25+65+95+135 = 320 disk power, and assuming i can complete 2 x 10hr missions in a day (which would give 4 memory tokens), it would take me 80 days (~3mths) to max a disk.

Let me give you an example, so for now I am currently running 13 memory disk missions (mix of 10h and 20 missions). In this situation, it would take me 3 months to max the disk on 13 HEROES ideally.

However, with the new system, you restrict me to a maximum of 3 memory missions. Max R12 would take 14hrs, but im sure majority of players have heroes around R8-R9 so i’ll just assume 18hrs to finish the mission. So basically its been reduced to 2 memory tokens for 3 different heroes in one day. So now it would take me 120 days (~4 months) to max the disk on ONLY 3 HEROES.

Do you see the issue? Under the new system, if I wanted to max the disk on all 120 heroes, it would take a total of 160 months (~3 years) and this game hasn’t even been around for 3 years…

I’m not sure if you will agree with this fundamental flaw in the refresh (or just push it under the rug) but I do hope your team will take some time to look into this. My suggestion would be that you can keep the 15 mission limit, but do not limit the type of mission (memory token or disk power) that we can do.

I have been playing since the start of the game, and although this refresh sounds great, I can’t help but feel like I’m being penalised for it. I have most of the friendship disks unlocked (and I do understand that this will make unlocking disks easier) but it really feels like ■■■■ knowing that I’m going to be stuck with 1 star disks for most of my heroes from here on out.

If only I knew that “lv 7 rule”! As of now, my memory market only offers me the thing I DONT want, making it essentally useless :(( everyday :(((

Also, about my suggestion in leader chat about “using memory token directly on updating disc star”, I see that you guys completely ignored it eventhough you said you would consider it.

@Polaris, could you guys pls once more time consider my suggestion? This will make it easier farming for a 5-star disc and eventually making those token useful (right now, I barely spend them as I dont see what I want to buy?

@Yunno using memory tokens directly on disks would defeat the purpose of the memory market.

Just because they didn’t say “we aren’t doing this” doesn’t mean they didn’t consider it.

Wait… @Polaris what about the weekly challenges that need you to beat infected nodes?

I dont know what the purpose of that market when I dont even buying 1 single thing from it! Everyday!

It just stands there, takes up a place and does nothing. What a great purpose! They need to refresh memory market as well! Or like I said, let us use memory token directly on disc star!

What the point of rewarding us with memory token if I never spend them? For decoration?

Also @Polaris, you said in leader chat that the number of fights in each chapter would be reduced from 5 to 3. But I dont see you mention it here? Has that been changed? I hope not because it is/was a great feature

They also removed other great planned features
