Guilds: Raiding

Okay, hear me out. Outside of War, I feel like a guild rarely has to work together to accomplish a goal. I, for one, want more opportunities to work with them via gameplay. The solution?

Replace Heist with a Raid-style dungeon that requires the work of the guild to defeat (together) a boss. For starters, I rarely play Heist. It is not exactly interesting, and half of the time I have players that simply never move or do anything at all, making for a rather lackluster experience.

How it works:
I was thinking DHBM could find a style perhaps similar to raiding in SW:GoH or even PoGo. My idea is that you have a boss with say 4 different stages, each requiring different strategies to maximize success (therefore emphasizing different team comps and such). The boss could be given particular difficulties so guilds of different levels could still have success (though the rewards would be scale, like Trials). The guild will have a period of time to defeat the raid (say, 3 days). If the boss defeats your heroes, they revive after 24 hours. (And revives could even be sold in the shop for diamonds, aka $$$ for PB).

Rewards:
It could be some form of the following:
ā€œRaid coinsā€ as it would replace Heist coins
Full badges (or bits)
Hero Chips for a certain exclusive character
Red skill chips
Gold

I think with a Disney spin and some fun mechanics, this could revitalize guild participation and even make a lot of money for PB, aka a win for everyone.

Thoughts?

@Polaris Iā€™d love to hear your thoughts as well!

Having played SWGoH, I have thought DHBM could use a game mode like this.
My thought was that each raid would be based on a particular franchise, with the exclusive hero chips rewards being from that franchise.
A couple of ideas I had included a Hercules raid, battling against the Centaur, the Hydra and a Titan, with Phil chips, a PotC themed raid facing the Black Pearl, the Flying Dutchman and the Silent Mary, with Elizabeth Swann/Will Turner/Salazar chips and a Moana raid against s boatload of Kakamora, Tamatoa and Te Kā with Gramma Tala chips

Isnā€™t that how invasion works though?
Although I do agree on another Guild mode, guild barely has any modes outside of Guild War and Creep Surge.

The idea is that the Raid bosses have massive amounts of HP so it is almost impossible for one player to defeat it alone (especially at higher difficulties)
Each guild member can only attack a set number of times a day (with all characters being revived at reset) so players could attack multiple times over a few days if needed

Those seem like great ideas, and certainly illustrate the many potential choices these raids could have! For what itā€™s worth, I particularly enjoy the idea of fighting the Titans or Tamatoa!

I certainly see what you mean, but as some of the other comments explain, this would require more teamwork than invasion. For example, in Invasion one teammate can reach a level 435 boss, while others may reach only level 55. And these two things could very much happen without any teamwork whatsoever. With a raid, the guild would succeed (or fail) together, though you certainly could give incentives to players by rewarding those with the most damage done. Hope that helps clear it up and thank you for your feedback

If it helps, thereā€™s supposed to be new bosses coming at some point, though thatā€™s been confirmed for months. The new one is called Lightning ROB, and you can see its portrait in collections.

Otherwise, this idea is wayyy too close to invasion to take off.

If it is maybe more detailed how this would work in practice, it might be a nice addition to the game. I do, however, disagree with it being the replacement of heist.

Heist is also partly what you make of it. Try to find people in or outside your guild to regularly do heist that maximise the rewards for example.

So great potential for this if it becomes more visual and detailed, but not a replacement for heist
