Heist AFK WHY?!?!

Thanks for the feedback. Until PB institutes change on this topic nothing is changing so my post in feedback stands… I’m sorry you disagree, but I’m even more sorry to be taken advantage of repeatedly by players who know exactly what they are doing. The difference here is their exploit is one that uses fellow players so PB has little incentive to fix the problem in the game ecosystem. Now if it was something that was taking advantage of PB this would have already been fixed, amirite??!

My solution isnt perfect but it’s a start and hopeful a catalyst to draw some more serious attention to a growing cancer in the game

You ARE right in a certain area. But blackmailing certainly is not.
You cannot be a 100% sure - I know that most of the time ppl are bleeps BUT I am not willing to take the risk for that one percent…
So a personal blacklist is ok
I write down a list of names and if they are in the heist I do not join or leave them a nice scoff remark in the assembly screen ^^
Of course Perblue could just add that blacklist to their program but that would take money and time thinning out their margin.
Maybe we should start a fund me ? ^^

I really appreciate your logical and all inclusiveness in your argument. However a few things…1) you are using the word blacklist, I am not and never have. Blacklist implies some darker motive yet to be enacted. There’s no motives beyond providing a centralized location with which to report any personal experiences with a HEIST QUITTER!! AS I previously stated it would be logical that seeing a name once on the list shouldn’t mean anything at all. Real life happens right?! So just being listed isnt cause for alarm… It’s when we see the same names going up several times is when it gives one pause. But even then I’m not directing anyone to take a course of action. There’s really no course to take. It’s simply an informational gathering tool and what people do with that information is up to them. But let’s be honest the options are really limited regardless so it’s not going to be an earth shattering game changer in and of itself. But it’s at least an outlet and a place to start looking to see trends to prove some players are undoubtedly scamming us.

2.) I’m not looking for vengeance or retribution on anyone here. I’m simply tired of getting taken advantage of and yes it’s happen g on the daily to me often by several players in tha e same heist. It’s ruining my enjoyment of the game so this is my limited attempt at shining light on the issue instead of just debating it endlessly while it continues and in doing so eat away at the satisfaction I get from playing on the daily. It’s possible that your experience may be different perhaps I’ve just been unfortunate in getting HEIST QUITTERS!! in so many of my heist and the problem isn’t that bad really. Or maybe my tolerance for bullshit is exceptionally low. Whatever the reasons are somewhat moot in my estimation as this has been my experience and that’s one that has become increasingly frustrating and by doing this I feel it somehow neutralizes a lot of that negativity for me because at least I’m doing something about it rather that sitting here on the forum and rehashing it ad museum and growing more bitter by the moment over it.

I can respect if you dont feel it the proper route to take, just as much as I hope you can respect I’m taking it anyway. There’s not malicious in my intent. But maybe it will cause some players to sit up and think about how they commit to heist going forward. And perhaps ma ny won’t make such flippant calls to play when they know they likely dont have the time to actually play it properly. And maybe jyst maybe it will curb the number of HEIST QUITTERS from engaging in this behaviour on purpose. Either way the list is up and I encourage everyone to contibute names when you play a heist with a HEIST QUITTER!!. If however you disagree, then don’t bother visiting the listing page and that’s that…pretty simple really.

The people that do it are annoying, but you can easily do private heists with only your guild or friends and avoid even being in the situation. This game has millions of people, many of them children. Public heists are like global chat. Never know what you will be getting. Sticking to private heists you will never have an issue

Private heists seldom get full…the point/report system sounds good to me…I would also like to see a minimum lvl for easy/medium/hard heists

Like I said maybe it’s a server thing… heists on S3 fill up extremely quick between vip chat and guild. Guess it depends if you just have random people on your friends list or others that are dedicated players in the game.

I sorts a agree about the friend list thing. That is why i previously suggested to have a time extension on the heist chat. That way, i would be able to pick out other active members and befriend them for future heist. For now, that’s kinda difficult cos you can’t even do a player search. Only thing you have is guild search and the only way to get that info is through the chat.

Before Heist was even released, I only added/accepted other players that were active and knowledgeable from vip chat. Having random friends you never talk to is pointless to me.

So with all these known issues regarding heist, why were no adjustments made yet? These things were known BEFORE official release… and yet it came anyway. Blatant disregard for the player base IMO and I would return (to perblue) in kind.

I agree with ReapersFury, better to add good friends rather than block unwanted ones.

Saw a suggestion before ago about making heist chat available awhile after it’s finished. Sometimes you get lucky and find a good player in heist but no way to add them as friends.

Build a good network of people for heist and you’ll never need to suffer public heist again

Tbh I don’t treat games as seriously as other so I guess that’s why I think like this xd

P.S. Thanks for responding so nicely!! I actually thought I was going to get hate for that lol

I think that it might be possible that some of these afk proplr have no clue what they are doing is harmful. I have played as the fifth member in a heist and felt kinda useless (you know what i mean i f you ever joined a heist as fifth or fourth player.) Also this might nit help, but for the refored, you could report them by searching their guild and then clicking them. Or you could friend them this wày and explain the problem to them. 93% of those who intentionally go afk prolly dont realize hiw much they ruined the game for others. especially if the come back when heist is already over. I know this wont be the most popular opinion but sometimes i choose to side with the team that is being hated on.

Why not double the chance and do BOTH #suprpisedface
Blacklist AND invitations…

Because when you have a 3000 points Kevin Flynn and I have an 10000+ Sully you need to wait to for me to arrive because if you draw away players from guarding diamonds and those diamonds get instant stolen after combat I get “very angry“ …^^

I usually use tje guild search to add them as friends but sometimes in the midst of the heist, i forgot to check their guild and therefore will be unable to add them.

I can tell that for you, a game is meant to be just that that, a game. A way to simply kill time. I just wanted you to also see where the frustration of others are coming from.

In the end a game is meant to be fun,. And different people derive fun differently. Some, like you, find fun in simply being able to kill time. Others derive fun from doing well in it (mostly those venting over here now). Some by creating havoc (probably those intentionally trying to ruin the game for others). And of course there’s PerBlue (which derive fun from the profits).

Anyways, the point i’m trying to make is try not to have fun at the expense of others. If you know you will ba AFK, make it known to the room. And if they are accepting or willing to carry your load, then no one has to lose.

As for PerBlue, i’ll give them the benefit of the doubt that they are doing something to improve the overall experience of the game. Cos if not, they will lose out more in the long run cos i see lots of potential in this game. But at this rate they won’t be able to keep enough players around for that to happen.
