Then why are you gearing up for Christmas if you don’t celebrate it? This defeats the entire propose of this thread.

Regulars being mean and overflagging again…
I mean when a thread trying to do something fun for the Holidays; is met with scorn and withering condescension perhaps that this urge to condemn the heretics errr “spam” is a bigger problem with the forums.
Not attacking but calling out into the sunshine: the best disinfectant!
What did the respondents add? What positive contribution?
I would rather 74 spammy akward posts by newbs TRYING to be fun filling up the whole front page of the Forum than the thousand gotcha look-at-how-much-smarter-than-you-I-am posts that flood every discussion from the same people being straight up mean.

Alright, I will add my thoughts here.
It does seem like certain people are flagged in excess where it is not necessary. The OP of this thread is obviously just trying to do something fun, no harm done.
Purplemur, though more rude and exaggerated than necessary, is not entirely wrong. I don’t see how all these flags are necessary. It looks more like the user is being targeted. Surely it can’t be that their every reply is a forum violation?
At best, what’s happened here is that you’ve ruined the fun for The_MichaelTeam, created some unnecessary drama, and given Polaris more unnecessary flags to sort through.
There is no guideline for how much effort a post needs to be valid. If you don’t like the thread, close it and read another one! Disliking a thread or a poster is not justification for a flag.
Try not to be so uptight! People can enjoy the forums in different ways than you might.

Yes. It seems to happen to most threads.
Some takedowns seem to have more effort but the pattern holds up- Someone posts something funky or just doesn’t “make sense” or is translated roughly or garwsh- says something that is inaccurate or misunderstood {especially about who’s a Princess!}
cue the gotcha squad to come on and maintain their status by posting mean-spirited rebuttals. They are harsh and unproductive. There is name calling and belittling. (Calling someone foolish is a put-down)
There is overflagging when a non-regular is contrary.
I think there is some definite bullies that are just in it for the ego gratification and has very little to do with the Disney game being played and more of a Internet lurking room waiting to spring.
Its not Regulars as a whole; bless them for their wisdom and passion for making the forum a good place to answer questions, share info and generally add a richness to the game. There is guidance and a love of Disney that is undeniable.
There is no mystery of who I am talking about: ya’ll know who the most prolific names are, they know I am calling them out. In any community when a certain group starts being mean to others - they need to be addressed and told to knock it off.

You know something? That makes alot of sense.
I don’t wanna be “that guy” especially after a post like that, but this is all rather off topic, in my humble opinion, though there is a thread that was made to discuss the prejudice some members of the forums have, and I suggest that this discussion, if it is to be continued, would be better on that thread.
Alternatively, we can stick to discussion of…what this thread is about.

Can we all tone down the flags? Whilst what they said was very much debatable, @Allie_Gator’s post didn’t violate forum rules and should not have been.
How much you want to bet it’s the same people who flagged the broken deal post months back. The self proclaimed forum moderating flag brigade. Who have actually been addressed in overuse of flags. Who could also just move along, not read or not click a post. Who will complain about spam but every Friday/Tuesday will spam like crazy asking for patch notes, post cat gifs, etc.
