This seems like it could’ve been run next week, so people… actually have the time to unlock and work on their Drakken? He needs to be Red to take advantage of the Double Skill Chip drops.
The only people who’ll make that will be the ones who buy the $50 deal or something similar, which already contains 1,695 Drakken Skill Chips.
Rather pointless? 
The accompanying free CW reset is helpful, but certainly not for Drakken or for the Double Drakken Drops event.

Seems like a blatant attempt to coerce people into buying the deal.
I saved my diamond crates from this past contest to hopefully get Drakken…unless Diamon Crates are pre-determined… then rip.
They’ve been known to give a free toon to jumpstart these events. But yea if that doesn’t happen within the next few hours it’s a terribly orchestrated event.
By the looks of it they just want you to spend money to unlock him and level him up. Because those that don’t can’t participate in their new awesome event… Pay 2 play sucks! Very disappointing…
To celebrate the awesome release of Drakken spend all your money on diamond crates to Hopefully unlock him and level him up to red! In exchange we change some numbers so he has some more power for 12 hours a day. 
don’t have enough money because you already spend hundreds on our game or because we are in the middle of a pandemic? than thats too bad!
