So for the 2nd time I was chat scilenced in my sleep for using “innopropriate language” I wasn’t even on! To be honest this is getting annoying! I never use innopropriate language in chat. So I’m sorry but this is getting out of control. Me waking up to seeing myself chat scilenced for no reason!
You don’t need to be on, as usually the report happens hours before and just takes time to review. Unfortunately “inappropriate language” is pretty strict in this game, so may not be something you consider inappropriate but someone else took offense to.
Any type of name calling, words that can have multiple meanings, etc. Basically if its not something you can or would say to any random 8 year old, be cautious about saying it

Your probably right but I’m always nice to everyone in chat I never am trying to offended someone but for now I’ll just have to wait 4 days!
The chat rules are pretty strict in this game. If you aren’t sure why you were silenced, you can send a ticket to support asking for clarification so you can avoid that behavior in the future.
Ppfffttt!!! This chat is strict!!! Wow… I played one game that was so strict they didnt need a report button XD…not that I want ya’ll to becime that strictbof course!

I worked on a game where players couldn’t write their own chat - they had to choose from pre-written phrases and that was it.

Sorry to direct or tag my repl to you but that may be the most confusing part about this.
Granted ive said some harsh words but plenty have said harsh words about me neither party was silenced.
Yet this person has been cut off twice. By whom and why… because as long as he shows his face in public chat he will be instantly reported.
I reckon we let chat be and somehow ban the name system, 2 min after its created.

We review chat logs on all reports that we receive, and only take action for chat violations. It doesn’t matter how many reports we get about an individual player, we only issue silences if someone is breaking the rules.
There are 3 systems that can issue silences in the game.
- Support Agents - we review reports that are submitted and issue silences for chat violations.
- Automatic Spam System - this system will issue automatic silences for spam.
- Automatic Chat Filter - this system will issue automatic silences, block, or for language violations.

@Polaris could you elaborate on the spam a little but sometimes people have been silenced after waiting several seconds before typing. Others havent been silenced when they prolly should have it would be nice to know the time table of spam so we all can avoid it.
It’s a complicated system that isn’t just a timer, but it also looks at player chat for repeated words/phrases/characters. There isn’t a ‘wait 5 seconds and you’ll be fine’ rule. I recommend anyone who was silenced for spam and isn’t sure why should contact support for clarification.

@Polaris on this game can the chat mods change settings on the fly while moderating chat? I know on another game of y’alls they could.
This may not be why it happened but also what we say in English could transfer into an insult to another language after it has bee. Translated. May share a meaning with a different word in there home language. Sadly I cannot give a list as it is huge depending on what languages we are talking about.
And if this is the case maybe things should be handled differently if chat is being translated.
I can assure the developers that what is said in 1 language it’s not always translated into the exact wording as I am bilingual and and used translate to look and have seen words majorly changed
