Port Patrol Challenge Inactive!

I’m in server 2, I just raided port once about a minute ago or so, and Port Patrol is still showing 0/14 completed. Considering this is a weekly, getting 14 port completions means maxing out every day and having all completions count. This means that, unless this gets fixed and my port completion is retroactively added to the challenge, I have zero way of completing the challenge.

I don’t think Raiding counts towards the Challenge.

Well all it says is complete, so if that is the case then it should have indicated such. Thx for the input though, it may very well be true. I just don’t feel like that would be something that excuses it in this situation.

yes PB please put a little information (i) icon on the challenge that states raiding does not count towards this progress

Seriously? They put it in a little i icon? Why not simply state it right there on the challenge, that’s ridiculous

Actually I just checked and the port patrol challenge does not have that icon on mine.

the good news is sundays have both ports open so there’s a possible 16 to complete in a week and it only requires 14. just a heads up for everyone already mad about the situation.

That is good news. Btw how do you add pics? I’m trying to upload proof that it doesn’t have the info icon for me, but every time I use the upload photo button it tells me that you can’t add a pic to a post

Ah I just put it in the OP

In general, raiding does not count when a task says ‘complete a battle’. I’ve asked the team to add a tool tip ‘i’ button to add clarification. Even if you raid both times today, both modes will be open on Sunday, so you’ll still be able to complete the challenge.

Wow that has to be one of the worst ways for a company to set a challenge: lazily avoiding explicit instructions and just hoping people catch on. Well thx all for replying to my post. At least now I know

I don’t think it would be intentional :stuck_out_tongue: I can see how it would be easy to miss this sort of thing. The problem is being resolved same-day, that’s pretty good

I do think it’s a bit of a silly stipulation for this particular challenge though, and don’t see a reason why raiding shouldn’t count - it doesn’t require use of certain heroes, simply completing the port.
The ‘challenge’ should be ensuring that one logs in every day and completes them all, not having to sit through 2 relatively easy 1 minute battles that we’ve already completed :stuck_out_tongue: (in fact, there was something said a while back that the team would try to avoid creating such challenges that involved replaying content with no specific hero or other choice)

That’s pretty much where I’m at. Although I don’t personally agree on it being easy to miss, they are the developers, they know how the raid mechanic works because they made it, and they made the challenge the way it is. If they can code the challenge so that it gatekeeps against those that raid, then it would take even less effort to add “without raiding” to the end of the challenge description. I respect your opinion of course, I just don’t share it  :dog:

I  the thing to do would be to provide a free port reset and a free heist ticket seeing as this port challenge was vague and the heist challenge is broken

We’ve added a tool tip for this challenge noting that raiding doesn’t earn progress. We’ll also have an “all ports open” event in the next few days, so look out for that!

Thank you, and sorry I didn’t realize who you were earlier and therefore misunderstood where your previous response was coming from.
