Red Skills Feedback

I second / bump this, after being bearable for a while as people were building up their Red teams and epic cw keys, the Red Skill spam in guild chat is now totally ridiculous.

With the limit of 99 readable messages, in any given period at least 2/3 of those will be red skill posts, detracting from other meaningful conversation (which is the whole purpose of guild chat). I know tacticians+ can delete the messages, and I had been removing all but 1 per hero each time someone’s got posted, but it’s an unwanted chore.

There needs to be a solution to this - eg. a cooldown of 1 post per hero per player per day might do the job, or it could post only at milestones (eg. every 10th level). It could just be removed entirely tbh, or with a guild settings toggle, but probably most people would enjoy it in a less spammy form.

Can’t those just be shut down by the ruler?

I’m the ruler of my guild and there isn’t an option to turn it off on the guild page. I also think it would be an improvement if the post was for unlocking and not for leveling up. That way the guild can see that someone has gotten a red skill (it was exciting at first), but not the torrent of level ups.

For me, Red skills caused me to quit the game. Or more accurately, the placement of the skill chips into City Watch. I find CW to be my least favourite game mode and as it was made into the most important game mode for end phase players, I just couldn’t find the energy for the grinding needed to get those chips consistently. As an idea the Red Skills are excellent, but limiting the gear needed for them into a single game mode is in my opinion somewhat poor decision.

@Polaris Please tell PB to add more Red Skills for old heroes! Some I think would be great would be for Quorra, Hercules, and the Incredibles!:pray:

Server 5 Player here, I was quite excited about the red Skills espacially as I saw that Zurg was one of the first Heroes with a red skill :slight_smile:

But to be honest: there are way to much resources you need to spend on leveling up the red skills. Concerning the permanent increase of max level / max badge it is already hard enough to keep up your focused 15 heroes. For me, the unlocking of red skills the way it is now is fine, but just using gold to level up the skills would be a huge improvement. Then you can use heroes already having the red skill in cw so you have some kind of control for which hero the red skill fragments are dropping. Right now I feel like I don’t have a chance to keep up with all possibilities to increase my hero strength. And i can’t even think about using new heroes because I simply have no way to make them “battle ready”

But to add some positive things as well, I played nearly since release and I really in love with the game. Actually it is the first mobile game that really has caught me :smiley: Keep up the good work and when you can handle these progress problems I will definetly staying here for a long time :slight_smile:

Make red skills upgradable by gold coins alone so that i don’t have to play cw every time i want to upgrade my heroes red skill. I hardly get time to play and cw is a burden.

Great idea. The mode to play it over and over again is just redundant.
And it never ends? What is with cap raises? New red skill levels are added every time? I don’t care about red skills in general and I would appreciate an answer. Ty

There are certain combinations of cripples (that’s what I call them because it makes it bloody impossible to complete) that should never be used. I like to think I have a pretty strong roster (35th on the server atm) and anytime I throw every possible combination of toons at a team in area 4 or 5 and do absolutely zero damage on any of em then there is a problem.

Now, I have no problem with a fantastic damage reduction. I have no problem with a normal damage reduction. And I have no problem with an immune to disable reduction. But when you combine a fantastic damage reduction with an immunity to disable then my random number generator draws me a team made up of kida, Donald, Magica, Pooh, and Collette (all with high survivability anyhow) and I throw high normal damage dealers in every combination of healers and supports (spent hours trying to get past one stupid fight) and not a single fight registered more than a tiny fraction of green missing from their health bars then there a problem with the format. The buy-in cost to an epic CW is too high to justify an impossible to finish round.

I’m not saying to make it simple to finish. But you can’t have something like this that requires this many resources be impossible.

I was going to start a new topic but I guess I’ll just add my thoughts here, I assume it bumps up the topic to the top for others to see. So here are my current thoughts, as I think something needs to be reworked. I think epic city watch should only cost keys and not use up your city watch resets as well. Back when it was hard to beat Epic I just kept stockpiling keys until there was an easy modifier to Epic. Now that we have over 100 heroes it’s easier for me to beat it no matter what modifier there is. The problem that starts to rise is we have over 100 heroes, so now it’s harder to grind and power up several of them. My violet need 50 red chips to level up, so I have to pray I get her chips out of every other one I’ll potentially get, wait to grind keys so I can try for more. With the raising level cap and raising cost of chips per level I’ll never max her so I can try others. There are several teams I want to build, but I want consistent red skill abilities, so like before the characters that have level dependant red skills fall into the previous mentioned problems.

TLDR - Make Epic City Watch not need resets, either remove level dependency from red skills, or scale the red chips we get per run with the server level cap

It’s just not fair considering:

A) amount of skill chips needed with the cap
B) amount of red skills added in update

I feel that some old heroes still do not have a red skill. If the new updates do not come with new red skills for heroes that I want, it is likely that my current heroes used could be replaced fast.

And I do agree. Spending 10M Gold, getting 25 hero chips and 125 skill chips is not worth the time and value as we have weekly contests, invasion, and every week, my guild gives everyone 2 city watch raid tickets, giving me lesser time to get the resources.

I feel that it can be made cheaper by a little bit.
I also want to get new red skills as often as possible.

Hey I am from server 19 and was wondering if we get all red skills at once with the next update or only a few for now? We all are really excited to jump into red badge territory!

Excited? I’d say be worried.

Nothing to worry. Red skills are great, only thing which is bad is big amount of farming.
2 months to max red skill.
