Challengers for division 2 and above won’t be changed.

If you have a bigger pool of players it means the Div 1 and 2 will be changed, lol. Remember when 1 and 9 merged? The chances just changed, because they were 2 similar servers in terms of playerbase.
That yes, division 2 not.
But it’s PB’s poor planning, they just should increase number of players allowed for division 1 instead keeping it same.

It isn’t on-topic, but not quite off-topic either I think. It is related enough to be feedback, if anything the issue would maybe be that it is closer to arguing than discussing, but yeah that’s another thing.
Musketeer@ Even if I at times forget to use Keys, I don’t think I have ever gotten to Division 2 as breaking into the silver tops in the third week have usually been too hard for me, so I usually end is in Division 3.
For us in server 5 merging into another would have a huge impact on our rankings and power hierarchy in general, which I am not sure if is a good or bad thing in the long run. Things would at least get shaken up some, a new normal I suppose which both have good and bad sides.

But number of places for division 2 is same/very near as there are numerous (leaderboards) of this division split for 20ish players each, while division 1 is just one, only for 20ish people as well 
Division 1 is badly affected, yes, but it’s from any possible merge no matter what.
Division 2 stays same.

Still, there is a limited number of Div 3-7 “numerous leaderboards” and therefore it is in fact harder to achieve Div 2… one way or another 
It’s never a problem of “there aren’t enough positions in Div 2”. It always was a “are there enough leaderboards to get from 4 or 3 to 2?”. And that chances are changed despite what you try to narrate.
Well, was better about using the Keys before for a while, but still never got into Division 2 from what I remember. I tried from what I remember in week 3, but wasn’t able to due to not getting enough points to get to the top silver colored spots and pretty sure I used all the keys back then in some instances.
Anyway, coming to think about it I think Division 2 would change some in server 1 as well since if it doesn’t change that means the people from the merge aren’t able to get into Division 2.
So there would be some trickle down effect as in some who could get to higher Divisions in server 1 before can’t necessarily get as high as they could before.

As far as server 5 goes the affects would be a lot bigger, and likely make it so that I may not as easily get into Division 3 if not Division 4 given that I am not good at getting the early game points and as such not min-maxing the point score as much.
So yeah, not sure how to feel about a merge for serve 5 as it would mean such a huge change.
While of course I would accept the new normal even if taking some time to get used to, it wouldn’t necessarily mean that I had as good of an experience compared to when before merged.
Of course, got to wait and see how things goes though :-).
Servers 9 to 12 merged first, then 9 in to 1.
Server 1 now has people from most time zones and multiple languages.
Will merging in 5 be a challenge? Possibly, but this next level increase might force a lot of people out. The true choice might be half dead servers or merging all three at once.
Also for the future merges, it is slightly comical that they are doing multiple months of double increases on some servers instead of having some of the servers stay at the same cap for two months in a row. I think they should at least consider it.
If server 5 joined server 1 or 2 there would only be 1 winner of challengers for the rest of time anyway

So yeah, any merge is a challenger rewards loss either way.

That S5 players can’t beat someone doesn’t mean other servers can’t as well.

No, that if there is a Server 1 Challenger League and Server 5 Challenger League, you have 2 Champions.
While merged can only have 1 Champion.
And since there will be more battling involved in the Div 1 it means less diamonds for everyone on average. 
That you don´t get such basics is not my problem.

Also, I expressed my frustration at it during Server 1-9 merge, as well as others. So what you said about “nobody crying about it” is untrue in all ways. One could say outright a lie.
Dear God, pls no more merge for server 1 as the one who has been through 2 server merges, let me tell you, the experience was horrible
We lost members, we gained members then we lost members again, and gained members again… It was chaotic in every possible way…
Not to mention war, which has already been horrible for a long time…
It takes weeks to stabilise and now it will be all over again? Pls no… anything but that
And to be honest, I would like the timing on server 5 stays the same. It is the only way for us to know daily events beforehand… Pls don’t change that…

Our core members have never left. We are stable but we can’t ask all 50 of them to act like us, can we?
Then Perblue should have invented an event calendar like many other games out there. I mean, it wouldn’t hurt to let players know what to expect

I’m in S5 and I don’t care how it affects the time changes really as I’d just love to see a merge happen either way.
If you were to merge 3 of the best servers together though, it would make the top guilds even more over powered. I’d love to see some form of guild power cap in the future just to keep things interesting.
