State of the Game - August 2020

@Polaris so when you guys are looking into arena and coli team please understand that you must only look at the top end of the challenger divisions ro fully understand the meta… Looking at the entire challenger tier isnt ganna give you the correct results since people who cant afford to buy the newer heros or put resorces into them wont be able to put them in their teams … As for the division 1 and div 2 challenger series I can garrentee that more than 75% have a combination of hades, mulan, and pumba in them strictly to prevent quickfight win and you guys put that in not as a way to get first but to defer solo hero defences. I would highly sujest revamping the quickfight bonus . maybe instead just forcing people in challenger to put 5 hero defences (15 for coli)
This would compleatly mittigate the need for the quick win bonus and actually make players use the bonuses each week
Coming from someone who has placed top 5 in coli and arena every season except the first ( didn’t really have the heros needed to get up there) i can tell you arena and coli isnt fun when all your trying to do is quickfight every lineup

Also increasing the level cap every 4 weeks would be fine if it didnt include the rank aswell slowing the increase of the ranks would help close the gap between f2p and p2p

A further comment on this, to bring up a current example: I was looking at promoting Mickey tonight, from R7 to R8. Doing so would cost almost 9000 stamina – and that’s with a campaign double drop running. The standard $5 stamina deal has just been buffed on S2, and now gives a little over 700 stamina refills; that’s probably not enough to promote one team of 5 heroes one rank each. If I don’t buy any stamina, I don’t know that I could earn enough through rewards, thrice-daily stamina gifts, and diamond bundles to promote even that many.

Maybe that’s meant to be challenging, but it comes off more as an attempt to coerce purchases and ends up being very discouraging.

We’re not getting costumes anymore

731x stamina means 48,246 overall with the bonus. And yes, it’s proved that you can’t max out a character even with 4 of those.

As you said, it’s discouraging. Mainly the part that even a strong VIP player can get only about 2k stamina daily. And additional 2.5k stamina weekly.
That’s 66k stamina month, which ain’t even 1.5x of that $5 stamina deal. Sad state of the game.
Bundles with stamina and overall stamina parts of the game need a gigantic improvement.

In the costumes menu, it say Costumes #1, if we’re not getting more costumes in the future there won’t be a number next to it, so it’s that first batch of costumes been put into the game, don’t know when more will be added, I can say out of common sense that they haven’t abandoned costumes and more will come

I know that. I was only restating what PB has said

I understand where your coming from, there not allowed to say on what there working on, they will say thanks for the suggestion and give the ideas to the team, and just hope it will appear sometime in the future, that’s why I put it in forums

I would also love to see more costumes, but they have been discontinued indefinitely. A statement from a PB employee in a live chat:

Matt_PBChief Product Officer
We’d love to add more costumes to the game. The challenge is that they require as much back-and-forth with Disney as a brand-new character. We also need to make sure we’re being faithful to characters by only using costumes that the character actually wore in a movie/TV show, etc. So costumes end up being complex to produce. We’ve decided to focus on new characters right now and don’t have plans for additional costumes. Never say never, but it’s unlikely.

Thanks for this info, I just needed proof, I’ll scratch the costumes of my wishlist

I really miss the stackable deals. I was much more willing to buy a $10 or $20 deal because it felt like a value to get the $5 as a bonus.

I think the state of the game is pretty good, can’t wait for what the future content is going to be, like characters and more chapters.
The characters i would love to see added into the game is Anna, Kate from Inner Workings, Ariel and Lilo

Definitely not believing it, if PB WORRY so much about low spenders why removed rare deals, huh? And solo deals, how this suppose to help?
It was great for players which spend little but for some reason it was removed.
And deals are bad on all servers, without a bag player is forced to buy $20 stamina deal to max a single hero, but giving such worthless deals you’ll just push players to spend more and more.

And cap rises and 4-5 heroes per month definitely doesn’t help, resources given in game is also proof that the statement in the state is false, almost no improvements, and if they are so little it changes nothing.

Then they should take the costumes off the collections list

So since you will be doing more in-depth refreshes, will the heroes that already got a small refresh be getting an in-depth refresh as well possibly?

Try Queen of Hearts (52% chance to team to avoid charm), Mad Hatter (Immune), Sulley (Ra) Immune, plus the ever increasing list of heroes with stacks of Hardy and heroes who can remove debuffs (Tron, Felix (red skill) etc.) . However, I do agree her Charm is a little excessive - especially when her damage ability is considerably greater than many of the older damage heroes.

Thanks for drawing attention to this. I was wondering what the interplay was between PB and Disney.

One thing this comment makes me wonder… perhaps they should give serious thought to the number of heroes they release at a time… presumably there are licensing costs associated with this - which must surely increase the pressure to squeeze every penny out of us. Perhaps if they limited additions to 1 hero at a time this would reduce costs… just a thought - may be totally off mark (could even be a condition from Disney that certain heroes are released together - who knows… not me)…

More lip service on guild perks. :rage:

Maybe I missed it, but I never saw a reply to my earlier comment on this claim about guild gifts, so I’m trying one more time:

And by “a number of different items”, you mean four: gold (once), diamond crates (once), badge tokens (twice), and hero chips (at least every other week). And you’ve added a fifth to the mix, invasion supplies (every single week). Given how many people in my guild bought the gold and diamond crate deals vs. the hero chip deals, and given the feedback I’ve read suggesting that literally everyone has had the same experience, I find it hard to believe that hero chips have outsold them, although I could believe they’re in the top three (out of five) guild gifts, which might technically qualify them as being “some of the best sellers”.

Since these are called Guild Gifts, I assume their purpose is to benefit everyone in the guild, not a select few. Offering hero chips only benefits those guild members who choose to spend their scarce resources on that particular hero. Offering invasion supplies only benefits those guild members with the time and patience to grind through the least-fun mode this game offers. Please, I beg you, offer some Guild Gifts worthy of the name. Try offering stamina refills, or Badge Booster crates, or diamond crates, or gold, or even badge tokens (if you can bump up the quantity to at least 20k-30k). Actually test your claim that hero chips are “some of the best sellers”, instead of basing that claim on an absurdly small sample size.

I almost feel for everything they say they listen to us and change for better they do more things To undo said benefit. For example they recently added more shield points for daily quests, but I noticed recently towards the newest cap raises, they increased the required shield points needed yet again to improve memory levels (don’t think they should update number required again to at least level 200 personally). No matter how much we beg for better guild perks, slow down rarities, better value for purchases either through gold or gems, or better guild gifts… at this point I feel we talking to the wall. They will continue doing as they please, and only say they plan to listen and change things, but honestly actions speak louder then words, and at this point the sword in the stone is mightier then the pen. A lot of people I know that are usually whales spending a lot less Becuase they too don’t feel heard. It’s time for change for the better perblue, and be a good start if offer things people have positive feedback as a majority like diamond crates for these guild gifts with maybe some small amount of something else like stamania with each buy too instead of the same old invasion stuff that people are getting tired of with rewards not worth time and effort people can put into it on busy work schedules and other Life stuff They maybe dealing with during a pandamic. We get it’s a business, but wouldn’t u make more money if more people were happy with the product they playing and not just a few that can be counted on two hands?
