I understand that for many of you here, the hero chip guild gifts aren’t helpful/useful/valuable. There’s a superthread here on the forums full of feedback about the guild gifts. However, the experiences of a few people don’t invalidate the data from the game. There are, on average, fewer than 300 daily engaged users (people who like or post) on the forums. While your voices here are important to us, and we do factor your feedback into our decisions, the forum community is a small segment of our playerbase. The people who speak in chat in the game are a small segment of our playerbase. The top 10 guilds are a small segment of our playerbase. There are groups of people who play the game and have a completely different perspective. They’re at a different progression point, they have different expectations or goal - there are many factors that create these differences, and while they don’t give voice to their opinions, we need to be aware of their experiences and make sure we’re providing as many people as possible with a fun experience in the game.
The data represents everyone playing the game, and gives everyone a voice, even if they don’t engage with the community on the forums or in chat. One of the things we do is find a balance between what is said here and in support tickets, and what’s represented in the data. There are a lot of players in guilds who find the hero chip guild gifts valuable and helpful for everyone in the guild, and they buy them. The Invasion Supply guild gift is similar. While some players may not enjoy Invasion, there are players who love it, and there are guilds who enjoy spending time playing Invasion, and they do buy the guild gift deals. On the flip side, they might not enjoy other aspects of the game, or some of the deals that people here really look forward to.
This isn’t to say that the community here isn’t important, but I’d ask before people claim the data is false and we’re full of lies, to consider there are people who have different experiences from your own and we do include them in our decisions for the game.
