I say we let Frozen win this round, it lost in previous rounds too many times.
Let’s make sure Ratatouille stays until at least top 5…
Top 6 at best
Frozen better than Soul?
The problem there is that not everyone is able to watch Soul, unlike Frozen, a movie from 2013 and most people had watch it.
Very true sadly. But still, it is a better movie in every way. IMO
Imo Soul is a very good movie and is better than Frozen… torturous Let It Go flashbacks
It’s tough to say, but I should vote bolt
I have to agree with Lure. Soul is at a disadvantage here.
Soul is out last Christmas 2020
Not everybody has Disney+.
If you want Disney+, then you have to buy it single or in a bundle
Let me rephrase that. Not everybody has the money or the wifi conncetion to get Disney+.
I know the point of the elimination game is to compare films, but I do not think we should be comparing them. They are all great for their own individual reasons and unique from the others. Some people like them more than others for reasons that tend to be about relating to the film in some way.
For example:
Soul - I relate to 22 and the messages of the film.
Frozen/Frozen II - I relate to almost all the characters and the message of the film. Considering the fact I relate to Frozen a bit more, I think it might be a bit better (not by much though because I love most of the Disney films equally).
I think Soul was a bit of a weaker entry on Pixar’s part.
I think they were aiming for something so abstract that the moral itself grew a little too abstract. It was almost there, but just didn’t fully reach its potential.
And while the Great Before had some pretty innovative design and animation, the design in the real world was not my cup of tea.
The pear head didn’t cut it for me Just why?
It’s called “trying something new and being creative.”
I haven’t watch the movie but uniqueness doesn’t mean it’s good or great, really depends how it’s executed or to someone’s taste in movies.
Sure, the pear head was indeed quite innovative. Changed my entire perspective of heads
But I am really big on design, and the character design did not appeal to me. (The top of his head is as thick as his neck! It looks so slim and shrunken lol)
For me it really comes down to the little pieces fitting together. The things you don’t really notice unless you look for them. Frozen is full of that, so I love it. Some of those details in Soul felt overlooked, or the opportunity was missed, in my opinion.
