I didn’t really like Peaches’ boyfriend’s character traits. It was too… bland. He is just nervous, “sweet”, and he just lets his girl do whatever she wants.
That is just my opinion. Sometimes a man has gotta say no. Even if it’s to his girlfriend or wife.
Oh yah, I didn’t like Julian either, but I think that was on purpose, the audience was not supposed to like him, but in the end, he is smarter than he looks, and that ultimately wins him the respect of Peaches’ father.
Getting back in topic, why did Andy look so different in the flashbacks for Toy Story 4? It didn’t even look like he did in the first two!

Well, in the first two movies, humans were really hard to animate well, Toy Story was originally made too practice making humans, on toys. That is why the humans have few scenes, and the scenes that thwy did have were…kinda weird looking. However, animation for humans has gotten alot easier over the years for them, I have not seen Toy Story 4, but that is my guess. 
I’ve also heard that but why change the design for Andy? Why not just make him look the same? Creates less confusion lol.
I have not seen the way he looks in the movie, but it might have been harder for them to keep his old form, or it might have been to show off how much they have improved.
