I don’t know why, but it kind of feels like 2 different artists worked on the picture between the new and old characters.
Not saying that the new character art looks bad, but sort of off and/or uncanny to me.
Weird, but just something feels like either 2 different artists worked on it or 2 slightly different art directions.
All that said, definitely agree on that it is a cool picture :-).
I think they are trying a different style for the loading screen art.

I also wonder why Scar is the only character from the old screen to get updated art. 
I would like to know how they come to the decision on what heroes got replaced and what heroes got added
I am kind of wondering if it is due to that the older character art there have thicker lines and more round feeling, while the newer character art have thinner lines and feels a bit stiffer, or at least in my view.
Might be something to it, but yeah at least feeling that something is different.
Either way, really cool that we got new art :-).

No Carl got added on Monday this came out on Friday and it was just a refresh for Simba and Nala
