I approve, Pips. Unique and tenfold better than the 10 ideas presented here.
Although would need an “Rb” abbreviation because “R” is for Red.
Or potentially name it Colorful? C0, C1, C2, …
Or Colorfull?

Try a mockup with “Rb” or “RB”

Yeah, I realised this after doing the mockup. Colorful doesn’t quite have the same impact in English, it’s a pretty bland adjective… I can’t really find a more suitable name 
so Rb/RB might have to do.
And obviously the mockup was only quick, done properly with the same/similar gradient it would look much cooler!

The glowing effect just doesn’t fit in at all with the rest of the interface IMO.
- Nothing else on the interface glows
- Surely it’s going to intrude on other elements close by, both in the hero views and badge views
- The hero tiles have a shadow - you can’t have both that and a glow without looking terrible, so that will have to go for the new rank
- How does it display as text (eg. we see RANK+#) on the detailed hero view in the rank colour. Surely not with the glow, it will be illegible. So just green?
- Are we going to have glowing green badges, too? The team haven’t been able to do most Yellow rank badges properly - they are all out of alignment with circle - I’m not anticipating good results with a glowing effect
