It still bugs me that we already found the final clue but we still have clues to solve…
So we still haven’t found the final clue?
Is that what Polaris means ‘to go find the end’?
I definitely think what we have is going to lead us to another hidden URL for a post like the original “What’s This?” page. And that post is going to contain the patch notes/description of what’s coming. There wasn’t much for the shop refresh that would have delayed it as long as it was, so the final approval they were waiting on was likely for the post that we’re supposed to find. I don’t think we’re supposed to figure out something “big” from a few letters, there’s too much room for different interpretations as we’ve seen. Just my two cents, and not that it gets us any closer to solving it.

The solver you used is for a type of cipher that is not normally used on single words, more like sentences. It solves for a letter substitution cipher, so for example a=r, b=e, c=a, etc. There is no rule to the substitution, except that a letter in the original is always substituted for the same letter in the code. This is why it works better for a long sentence, since it’s easier to have the whole alphabet, recognize the pattern and have a single solution. In our case, using the same type of cipher (even using the same online tool you did, just expanding the dictionary), all these words could also be possible solutions:

So I’m not yet convinced that this is the right way to solve it.

Nope the 2.3 patch notes isn’t even written yet. And even if it was that’s not the end goal since unpublished patch notes are in a separate locked part of the forum.
