Why are we getting bad characters?

I’ve had a question about the heroes being added in DHBM: why are b-list and c-list characters being added? Examples include:
Phoebus
Chef Skinner (I didn’t even know his name)
Monkey Fist
Little John
Jake Long
Flash
Negaduck

I’m very curious why DHBM isn’t adding characters like Joe Gardener from Soul, Pegasus from Hercules, Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians, or any Encanto characters,

I am happy with characters like Cinderella, Abu, and Lumiere and Cogsworth, so it’s not all bad.

However, I do think the game is starting to die, and a major factor is the choices of b or c-list characters being added.

But they all are important characters, and requested, only Phoebus over Frollo is weird.

Sounds like a you problem.

Why? Another horse, such a d-list character.

It is good as long it’s not a franchise with already enough characters, and giving a chance for others.

Now you have heard of him.

I believe you do not know the Disney Channel franchises, specifically “American Dragon: Jake Long”

There’s more characters in Disney than just the obvious choices. Heck, its because of some of these obscure characters that we even have the films that we love and enjoy. I personally love that we’re seeing heroes and faces that many people may have otherwise forgotten about. It’s a good blend between recognizable and obscure picks which is why I love this game so much. I had no idea who the Rocketeer was before this game, but because of his inclusion, it got me to watch the Rocketeer to understand him more!! I’m more than sure that we will get the characters you listed (Less so on Pegasus) but I am so grateful and happy knowing that a lot more of Disney’s legacy and history is represented in this game! They are not bad picks in the slightest in my opinion.

Definitely, it is very boring and repetitive with disney in general and their games where they only add characters from renaissance and frozen characters over and over, what makes DHBM better is the variety of characters, some which never appeared in any disney game before and probably never.

Different people have grown up with different movies and shows, and will thus have different opinions about which characters are significant and which ones are minor. One of the characters you listed as “b-list” or “c-list”, Jake Long, has been celebrated by more people than all but two or three other characters over the past year, and I’ve seen people saying they started playing the game just because he was added; I never really watched his show, but I can acknowledge that a lot of people remember it fondly.

What are those even? Here’s the problem: everyone has a very different view on the newcomers, as well as their wishlists. So there are no tiers when it comes to characters (except objective ones, like in-game power), because every character will bring joy to ones, disappoint to others and no emotions to the third part. So, I guess, we just sit and wait for more toons, which will get mixed reaction once again.
