Is there a meaning to the lightsaber colors that I should know or is it just what you would rather have cause the meaning would inform my choice lol

This old SCB video explains about lightsaber colours.
Before 2012 there was apparently a distinct difference between blue (protection as core value) and green (peace and harmony)
But now not sure 
I figured. So much uncertainty with these things lol.
Yeah, but here I just based my vote on the old situation. I feel like I would be a more reserved Jedi like Qui-Gon for example (who has green)

Yeah it has to do with the 3 roles someone can have during Jedi Knighthood. Blue are the protectors, Green is more for counsel and living connection to the Force, and Yellow is not an option but that is like a combination of the two and they understand how to solve problems without the Force and they are normally the Temple Guards.
