Are people really this obsessed?

So many people are moaning and whining about the constant new content and rising level cap and stars, and I don’t understand it. Is “being the best” really such a big concern? How can all these people be so selfish and unappreciative to all the hard work the developers have put in to make this game the best it can be? Many of these latest updates were specifically added in response to your feedback!

I’ve always been free-to-play, mostly because until recently I had no money to spend, and this doesn’t bother me in the least. I’m excited for Ursula and the Challenge shop (finally, more actual purpose in Challenges), an the six-star update is great because it gives me more room to improve my characters. I

Of course people who spent money can be the best, they’re the ones keeping this game going! If it gets more people people spending money and doesn’t (DIRECTLY) negatively impact me, I approve any update, for as long as the game makes money it will never be discontinued, which is the only fear I have in regards this game. I’ve lost Avengers Alliance, I would hate to lose this game too

It is.
If you don’t have any plans or targets, you are just wasting time. You could waste this time anywhere else, but also could do something useful.
And guys who have “being the best” as their main target are the primary customers in such games, spending money and time like nobody else would.

People are mad because it will create extremely gaps between whales and others and because all their sense of pride and accomplishment after 5 starring a hero is gone. And these issues are connected with “being the best” for sure.

I have goals and targets but they are independant of other players. If I have a cool thing, I don’t really mind if other people have a cooler thing.

It’s not so much about the 6th star. It’s more about what it represents. Next would be 6 star disk. Followed by badges that require 100’s of bits and campaigns that requires 50 stamina.

Compared to a lot of other games (both pay and free), PerBlue seems to do a pretty good job of trying to listen to feedback and respond quickly to issues. Especially thank you to @Polaris for his support in the forums! We won’t all get what we want, but PB does seem to at least try to make it enjoyable to both free-to-play and pay players.

I do agree that they’ve been doing a good job of TRYING to keep players happy (both paying and free). However the latest update ia a bit too much. At this rate, free player are gonna leave, monthly subscribers are gonna be the new “free players”, deal purchasers will be the new “monthly subscriber”. You see where i’m going with this. It’s only a matter of time before whales eventually become the free (and possibly only) players. Though the game will most likely die out before that.

I don’t think people was complaining just for the sake of it, and not for AAAALL the things, just the 6star xD I don’t think putting all the complains into one “whinning bag” is the best way to see it, most of us just have legit concerns about enjoying the game ^^

And I do agree to the fact that DH is one of the few games where concerns from players are actually adressed whenever they’re discussed in a polite manner AKA they do listen to us ^^

The thing is, for us free players, arena and coliseum are our main source of diamonds, which we need for bundles and diamond crate exclusives. With a 6th star, we can’t keep up with those that spend $100+ and get hundreds of chips at once. The level cap issue, however, is just a case of people whining that they aren’t as strong as the more dedicated players who’ve been around a while.

I agree, the level cap… although sometimes redundant and TOO fastly added LOL it’s something expected every month at this point xD

Or, your just playing it to have fun not to see who’s the best

I think for me at least the fun in Disney Heroes come from seeing and playing through the different stories, like having characters who wouldn’t normally meet each other due to being from different movies, but here in Disney Heroes they can and I find a lot of fun in that :-).

I also like the strategic gameplay a lot, even if I also like setting it on auto when going through farming missions. I might not be super good, but I still manage and have fun ^^.

Kira, you took the words right out of my mouth

You don’t get the idea it seems.
If you play for fun, you could play with the same idea everywhere else. Nothing to worry about, a man wastes his time as he wants.
The thing is, guys like you are not the main segment of customers. Those who have ingame goals are.

You weren’t keeping up with those people anyway. You’re still battling the same people you had been battling. Adding a star in no way limits you, and with how many chips they give out in GW and guild crates, it’s silly.

Nice and thanks ^^.

I think my wish in terms of getting stronger doesn’t 100% lay in just getting stronger and beat others in PvP related things, but rather being able to unlock friendships and getting to see and read the stories :-).

Plenty of friendship I would liked to have unlocked, but yeah resources ;^^. So yeah, don’t need to play to just get stronger, you can also play to see more story and character interactions :-).
