I’m in server 19, and something wierd is happening with my arena (gold 3): my position seems to keep resetting itself every morning.
I’d start the day at #37 every day for the past 3 days or so without fail… I’d spend the day climbing to #17 (even top 10 once) or so but find myself in the same place (roughly) the next day with the same teams above me that I spent the day before (easily) clearing…there was no indicator at all that anyone attacked me, and even if it was because the same people above me kept being defeated which pushed me down - it can’t be a coincidence that it’d push me down to the same position every morning?
Can anyone confirm this happening in their own servers?
That sounds fairly normal to me, especially if it is an arena which is difficult to promote out of (for me platinum 4 and platinum 2 were awful and took months to get through).
After a while a lot of people give up really trying to get promoted but also learn who they know they can attack and beat every time. Because of this the variation in the arena reduces to virtually nothing and all the same fights take place every day with the same results.
I’m guessing that’ll happen too and I’ve seen that quite a bit to get to this point but I’d have expected much more competition in the form of defeats while I was away or the weeding out of some truly awful teams I passed by on the way up…yet the next day they’re back on the ladder. I’m talking truly awful all-purple teams without meta toons in a sea of oranges.
I guess there’s probably more here at work than I’ve observed. Will continue to keep an eye on this.
The guys who are posted weak teams are probably doing it deliberately to earn more coins. They likely have some strong characters that are able to move them up toward the top of the arena but not strong enough to stay there. So they use those to attack and get high daily rewards but use a weak defense lineup so more people actually attack them. That way they either win and earn coins for a successful defense or they lose, move down and the next day there is more likely to be someone ahead of them that they can beat with their strong team and start the whole process again.
