I’m not happy. Finally making progress in arena, after months in platinum v, beat the player in 2nd place, with 1 day and 11 hrs left to promotion, yet it’s left me on 6th place and taken my last attempt!
And how is that the games fault ?
You should’ve battled with the player at 1st.
I think he’s talking about an arena merge.
If that’s the case, I agree it is frustrating when you’re in line for promotion. But it’s hilarious when it happens to the guy who just bumped you off your promotion 
He didn’t said something about a merge.
So I think this is what happened. He reached 2nd place and waited to be promoted, then while he is away, someone battled the 1st dropping it to 2nd and him to the third. It continued until he found that he is now at 6th place due to the higher rank battles.
