Bo Peep Refresh concept

Since her introduction in Update 1.10.4, Bo Peep was overshadowed by both tanks and damage dealers, especially Ducky & Bunny, introduced in the same update. Her high stats allowed Bo to stay on top of the Arena for some short time, but her low skill synergy and powercreep led to her downfall. The point of this refresh is turning Bo Peep from a mediocre tank to a monstrous damage dealer, while keeping and increasing her tools for protecting allies.

Base stats

Skills


Deflection Spin

Passive: Bo Peep blocks every 3rd projectile targeted at her and every 5th projectile targeted at allies behind her. If she blocks a projectile targeted at herself, she gets 30 energy.
Active: Bo Peep spins her staff while walking forward until she runs out of energy, dealing damage, blocking all projectiles from passing her, decreasing armor for 4 seconds and knocking back enemies she hits.

  • Moved passive from “Projectile Wrangler”
  • Added projectile blocking if an ally is targeted
  • Added bonus energy for blocking projectiles
  • Added armor decrease


Billy, Goat and Gruff

Bo Peep calls in Billy, Goat and Gruff to headbutt the closest enemy, dealing damage, blinding them for 14 seconds and knocking them back. If after the hit Billy, Goat and Gruff run through an enemy with decreased armor, they deal 75% damage to them and blind for 10 seconds. Blinding lasts for 4 seconds less for each next enemy they hit.

  • Increased damage
  • Increased Blind duration
  • Added bonus damage and blinding to other enemies


Field Training

Bo Peep dodges a melee attack and counter attacks, dealing damage. She can dodge a melee attack once every 7 seconds. If Bo Peep hits an enemy with decreased armor with that skill, it sets the cooldown for “Billy, Goat and Gruff” to 0 seconds.

  • Increased damage
  • Added cooldown reset for “Billy, Goat and Gruff”


Unexpected Journey

Bo Peep gets 60% less damage from enemies with decreased armor.
If Bo Peep gets disabled by an enemy, she gets 100 energy. She gets 150 energy if disabled while using “Deflection Spin”.

  • Changed skill name
  • Added damage decrease to enemies with armor removed
  • Added bonus energy gain
  • Removed projectile blocking


Not Toying Around

Every time an ally or an enemy is KO’d, Bo Peep’s armor and reality are increased for the rest of the wave. She saves 30% of that bonus for the next wave.
If Bo Peep loses 25% or more of her Max HP in one hit, she uses “Billy, Goat and Gruff”.
If an enemy steals 200 energy or more from Bo Peep at once, she gains “Reflect” for 3 seconds.

  • Added bonus armor and reality when enemies get defeated
  • Added bonus armor and reality for the next wave
  • Added “Billy, Goat and Gruff” triggering if Bo Peep loses too much HP
  • Added “Reflect” if too much energy stolen
  • Increased passive Max HP buff
  • Added passive Evasion buff
  • Removed passive “Billy, Goat and Gruff” damage buff

Bo Peep’s Memory Disks

“On the Lamb” from Woody

  • Removed armor decreasing from “Deflection Spin” per memory disk level(Moved to the skill itself)
  • Added armor to allies for 9 seconds per memory disk level if “Billy, Goat and Gruff” are used
  • Increased bonus damage for allies against enemies with armor decrease from 15% to 20% per memory disk star level

“Flock Jacket” from Joy

  • Increased healing from projectile blocking per memory disk level
  • Added healing from dodging attacks with “Field Training” per memory disk level
  • Increased improved healing from 8% to 12% per memory disk star level

Could be very broken against Dash (Fi), Kronk, and Basil :grimacing:

And does this count when she uses her active? If so, it’s too broken, since she loses energy per second.

(And it also makes her more of a Tank than a Damage…)

You realize her main purpose is projectile blocking, right? Not knockbacks? So removing her main purpose would be a bad idea.

She is better at projectile blocking than Hook (Pe) and Goliath, so please don’t take that away from her.

Hmm, considering that the skill only hits one target, this would be kind of unrealistic.

Took into consideration. I should probably make a minimum cap. I will check some other skillsets to find a better number.

That’s…kinda what I tried to do :sweat_smile:
I thought this might be the more powerful version of her current skill cause many projectiles hit the frontmost enemy. In most cases, Bo is the frontmost, especially when using “Deflection Spin”. And that will increase her survivalability against Mama Bots or other enemies with non-projectile attacks. Yes, that will make her more vulnerable to disables, which I tried to fix with replacing green skill buff with more Evasion.

I tried to give her a new purpose with keeping the projectile surviving(Mostly her own), even if in a different form. By giving armor decrease synergy. I mean, there are characters who do that, but I don’t remember ones whose skillsets are specialized on it. Even if the effect itself isn’t that helpful, so I gived the options for her other skills. And that’s also why I insisted on Damage role, not because of reflecting.

Something like that works with Rapunzel, so why not? :man_shrugging:

All in all, as much as I want to insist on my ideas, I understand that you’re right. I’ll return the projectile blocking, but I should also rethink the reflect part then, nerf it, or just remove, or even keep, even if projectiles won’t be reflected. Or removing purple skill dodging, cause keeping everything can also be too much. But later. Still, thank you for your feedback.
