What is this? I love getting cool things from the cosmetic crates because they always have amazing references! But this is beyond lazy! Putting a platinum filter with a dash of sparkles on badges that have already existed day 1 as the white badges and calling them new yellow badges? That’s horrible! I really hope that these either are placeholders for different badges or are a joke because if these are staying, that means every badge will end up getting this. And that’s going to be awful.

If my hunch is right, we might only have Platinum Badges out 2023 as the Platinum Badges are for Disney’s 100th anniversary if I understand things right.
I don’t know for sure though, but yeah I do wish we got new badge designs than Platinum Badges.

We will see. It’s quite possible Disney requested something Platinum and the only meaningful part the team found was badges.
Hence why I kinda wish for the postponement of Emerald Rank until after the platinum badges are done @Samm. It would make it easier for the Badge Map too

Adding on to this, many Disney Games, such as Disney Emoji Blitz and Disney Magic Kingdoms, have been adding different platinum aspects to their games. For example, Disney Emoji Blitz has added a different platinum emoji for each month of the year, while DMK has re-styled the coloring of the castle and buildings near the entrance.
I don’t think that DHBM has enough mechanics and visuals for a huge change like this to happen without making some beginners more confused. I mean, they could have just stuck to their usual, outdated in my opinion, formula : a special trail. Even that would be better than these lazy badges.
Plus, this isn’t really a celebration if it is not available to the W-Y5 players. I suggest having a sort of monthly thing, where each month we see a different building turn Platinum 
.
But it’s way too late, and I am kind of sad that for such a big celebration like this, all we got was lazy badges. I mean, PerBlue could have even just made new badges that showed different icons of Disney, or literally anything remotely related to the anniversary, not just platinum carbon copies.

Apparently we are all wrong. In chapter 63 the characters end up in Bonnie’s room and find platinum badges. And all I can say is…the creators of the game must be fans of American Dad. The platinum badge has the same effects as the golden turd! It basically hypnotized all of the characters! Kim was even being snotty to hiro and was going to mute him on her kimunicator only to see his scared face. So…apparently the “new” badges are going to be a story arc
