Hello, I’m still fairly new to the game. Currently level 34. I haven’t seen infected areas anywhere for this event. I’ve looked online to see what they look like but my campaign area doesn’t have any. Do you need to be at a certain level before you get them?
Hmm I remember the first time one popped up, but I do not remember what lvl I was on…
It might be at a certain chapter in campaign as well??
I’m currently halfway through chapter 5, so not sure if I have to complete that first. I can’t find a detailed guide to the event and if there are any requirements.
An infected area can only appear on a number space of a chapter that you have already completed. Meaning since you are only on Ch. 5 you won’t find any on Ch. 6. They will be denoted by a shimmering pink circle. These cannot appear in elite or friendship campaigns either. I am unaware of a TL (Team Level) requirement or if there is one I simply don’t recall as it has been quite some time since I played the early parts of the game. Outside of that I don’t know if there is any sort of time limit as to how often they can spawn. Just be on the lookout and you should find them eventually.

I’m on the same page as @Kinokan and @Champion_David . I don’t really remember there being a TL requirement, but I do know that they tend to form rather slowly.
You can get infected or virus tickets to spawn them. I have a few.

Looking at this post looks like the poster is an F2P player and there are no free infection spreaders in the event
As for @Champion_David & @Kinokan, I agree. I don’t remember when they started popping up. But I think they depend on the level you are on
The normal campaign stages needs to have at least 3 stars in order for the stages to be infected as I know about and normally these infected areas may happen randomly so you have to keep an eye out for any red swirl highlights on those stages. Another way to infect the stages is to have a virus ticket or item. If there’s no infected stages, you’ll have to wait till you see one.
There are infection or virus spreaders as I said, but not in this current event. I earned them from another contest. The pic is below.

If i am not wrong infection may appear only if the stages have 3stars. Since you are new and only up to chapter 5 you should check if all the levels you already completed have 3 stars and try get these stars where you have only 1 or 2
They must depend on your team level.
The very first infected area I got was in chapter 6. Yes they spawn randomly but mine spawned first in ch 6. I had 7 chapters open by then so if it didn’t depend on TL then it’s logical to assume I would have gotten one sooner.
