Genie is definitely not the best control character in the list
The burst damage is nice but I think Genie has too much power in his white skill and not much anywhere else. And the awkward timing you were talking about takes some more of his strength away.

Jafar are very insane with goofy and Hades. Hades(me) has the ability to increase the damage along the time.
