The project that I’m most interested in is Elio, a sci-fi adventure directed by Adrian Molina (co-writer and co-director of Coco).
In other news, we should expect a prequel to The Lion King that focuses on Mufasa and how he became the greatest king in the the Pride Land. Also expect Peter Pan and Wendy, The Haunted Mansion and a live action Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs coming to theater next year. We have also got a glimpse of the live action of remake of The Little Mermaid as well as Hocus Pocus 2 and Disenchanted that will come some time shortly. The Santa Clauses will get it own show with Tim Allan return as the jolly man himself as well as Percy Jackson and the Olympians will receive it’s own show. Along with Strange World coming this November, Wish will come next year in honor of Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary.
In the Pixar world, Along with the anticipated sequel to Inside Out, a few new entries will join in their ranks including Elemental, and Eilo. Monster Inc’s show Monsters at Work will receive a second season and a new show will appear on Disney+ known as Win or Lose.
In the Marvel Universe, along with Wankanda Forever coming in November and Ant Man: Quantumania next year, Samuel L. Jackson returns as Nick Fury as he tries to protect the earth from the Skrull in Secret Invasion and War Machine return just in time for Iron Wars. We also see that Werewolf by Night, Echo, Fantastic Four, and Ironheart will also be the newcomer in the Cinematic Universe. Loki will also be receiving a second season next year.
For you Star Wars fans, with Andor coming shortly, we will also see the return of Mando and Grogu as The Mandalorian will get a third season. Asoka will also be getting her own show in Tales of the Jedi with fellow Jedi, Quin Jon Jinn and sith lord, Count Dooku as we explore how they became the people they are.
Lastly, Harrison Ford dropped by to announce that a fifth and final installment of Indiana Jones is in the works.
So, as you see, we have lots of busy and exciting stuff to look forward to as Walt Disney’s 100 Years of Wonder draws ever closer.
