Anyone interested what would happen if Disney went dark with their stories? And I mean beyond Hunchback of Notre Dame dark!
Like in an alternate reality Disney was more garnered toward an older audience and thus can go darker with their films.
Something about this always interested me.
Curious if a darker Disney will even be as popular as it is now? We keep imagining it but honestly I don’t think it would be as popular.
Also and here comes the creme and the crop, what would you do if you were in charge of making Dark Disney products? Would you play it safe or go depraved?
Personally I would Ariel a Siren that eats humans, which makes her falling in love with a human that much more ironic and dangerous.
Rapunzel would be the same except that the way she’s been raised and the isolation would actually effect her.
Not sure what to do with Belle other than flat out stockhome syndrome or insanity.
Elsa has been done way too much so I would leave her alone.
There are so many things we can do with the Genie!
And yes I am still imagining this animated the same way! Personally I think it makes the dark elements that much more jarring if we keep it within the confines of “family friendly” animation!
After all animation isn’t always for kids so I don’t see why we should restrict animation style too!
