Death of Reflect

I get creating a reflect counter beyond Sisu and Fairy Godmother. However, that Minnie disk is a bit excessive. @ 5 star a 15 second stun when receiving reflect the whole fight? I could agree with the first 5-10 seconds (still destroys Ian, Drakken) but it makes anyone that generates reflect a liability as well Ron, Darkwing, Fear, Hamm, Ian paired any of them, Kermit, all those Yellow badges. I think this needs to be reworked

Maybe use Joy for those start of combat Reflects?

Then, Pete can’t remove reflect. Also use heroes with tenacity or evasion for that stun.

Exactly because of tenacity and evasion, Ron and Darkwing won’t be affected much by that. Hamm has good tenacity too I seem.
Fear’s reflect is worthless anyway.
Ian will be hit hard, but eh it’s not a big deal

It’s the friendship disk that’s excessive, not the Red Skill removal. The friendship stuns anyone that receives reflect. Evasion or Tenacity might help. Mad Hatter Red Skill for the first few seconds. But being stunned for 15 seconds for most toons that receive reflect is excessive

Thing is the only one that is effectively hard countered by that disk would be Ian.
Which true, 15 seconds may be a bit much. But it’s not like having it only happen at the start would change much

Only for heroes with no evasion or tenacity.

High tenacity heroes have the stun reduced to 1.5 seconds.

Yes I know, I meant against Ian

It’s almost like you now have to weigh the pros and cons of relying on Reflect, just like every other buff!

I suppose, but there are several ways to drop tenacity to nothing. Reflect is more or less another form of invincibility or shields, however, there’s no equivalent invincibility/shield counter that disables toons just for receiving it. The closest thing is QuackerJack which just saps. Sure Tenacity and Evasion are valid arguments, but Hamm-SC, Honey-Lemon-HI, Mary Sanderson - white pretty easily make those stats irrelevant. Also anyone duplicating the buff like Kermit would stun anyone without evasion or tenacity.

The Reflect removal at least has a level fail. Although I would argue that’s less effective then being disabled just for receiving it. It’s too early to tell but it’s a pretty hard count for DW too. His reflect last 3 seconds, with Max Tenacity he will at minimum be stunned for 1.5 seconds up to 15 seconds. Hard counter for Ian Meg combo (unless you have Mad Hatter Max Red Skill). Coin Flip counter for Kermit, Hard Counter to the team he duplicates reflect to. Either need to reduce the stun length, add a level fail or limit it to the start of a battle similar to Vinnie’s Speed boost counter.

I have only really seen Honey Lemon used… and in recent memory barely even her.

So. Ian is dead, others pretty much stay almost the same. It´s (another) dedicated Ian counter.

It’s a pretty Hard counter to Ron and Darkwing’s Yellow badges triggered by Reflect. Today Ian is the best option to trigger the Hardy for DW and the Armor Negation for Ron. Just another reason to have a max Mad Hatter I guess. nothing like 1 toon in the entire lineup that’s required to combat every new starting debuff that’s created

Let´s see him being nerfed soon.

I don’t see anything in the text of the disk that says the reflect would be blocked or removed. Is there anyone with the disk who can confirm whether heroes still get reflect, and just get stunned on top of gaining reflect?

The Reflect is not removed, but if you are stunned long enough, then in theory Pete’s red and purple skill trigger. His basic attack hits all enemies and Red Skill (level fail dependent) removes reflect. I have no beef with the Red Skill removal. That’s fair and it’s dependent on Pete doing a basic attack. What I have a beef with is relying on Evasion/Tenacity to trigger a chance to avoid/reduce being disabled just for triggering a core skill. Regardless, it’s an extremely hard counter to Ian, which is the lynchpin of any Reflect based team. If he can’t be used, then Reflect is essentially dead except for a few notable exceptions that use it sparingly.

So many times I heard someone saying that Ian is dead. I want him dead, really.
