I wonder if a mechanic could be implemented that lowers the chance of getting the chips for someone the more you have. Might make it annoying getting the last 200 for six star on some people, but it would also make issues such as having over a thousand Rex chips happen less, or at least at a slower rate.

It is totally possible to do that, but highly improbable. Having to open 600+ diamonds chests so you could finally summon that new released op character is how PerBlue makes a profit.
This change will never happen. At least not a significant change.

See, that’s not true any more. They’re FLOODING server 1 with diamond crates at minuscule prices. Making money by making us have to spend a ton on them isnt a viable excuse any more.
Which is exactly why my previous comment makes sense.
The pull rate is low so you’d have to open tons of boxes. That’s why the deals cost the same but for more diamond crates, they became almost useless if you want the newest heroes.
Last patch I opened over 700 crates and got no new hero. Not even chips…

I believe a good improvement to the diamond crates will be that you could exchange chips that you don’t want or need for gold or xp potions. This will make a lot of sense in my eyes at least 
. what do you guys think?

I’ve stopped wasting diamonds on crates a long time ago. It’s only logical to assume the more characters there are in the game the smaller chance you have to actually get the newest ones.
And the diamond crate still gives Purple and Blue badges when we should have been able to receive full Orange badges months ago.

Which is why PB won’t do it. They could lose out on money, man.

Not really. I think it would feel better to spend on diamond crates since you would know that even if you get the same heroes you got maxed out, you can still exchange it for xp bottles or gold.
A shop where you could exchange hero chips would be a good solution, I don’t think it would work though since you would probably need specific chips in order to exchange…
