Well, if the wiki for Dash’s next Elimination Game is anything to go by… 
I feel like that would give any of those new characters an unfair advantage in the Elimination Game because they’d already be ahead of any of the already eliminated characters.

I kind of like the first option more because I get the feeling that if we were to vote based on the latter, it’d be a little too easy to figure out who would win, since it’d be largely dependent on how recently they were released (with some exceptions, like Dash or Darkwing Duck).
