Depends on time, I guess. It’s easy with princesses, they just get better with each new one(Mostly), becoming more initiative. Villains, however, depend on ages they were created. I mean, they can be classified as:
*Evil just because they are evil(The Evil Queen, Maleficent)
*Motivated, but not main part of the story(Shere Khan, Madam Medusa)
*Motivated and the main characters(Gaston, Scar)
*Comic reliefs(Yzma, Alameda Slim)
*Hidden villains(King Candy, Bellwether)
*One-time obstacles(Tamatoa, Arthur)
Of course there are exceptions that come in different eras(Gothel, Madam Mim)

So, when comparing those franchises, the answer isn’t that obvious. But unfortunately to me, the newer the era, the less points villains have. They literally get extinct :cry:

I see your point, and we need more villains in the future. Little kids need to know that there are bad people in the world as well as good.
