Summary
It’s been Zemo all along!
It’s been Zemo all along!
I feel like the MCU is building up towards a duo show of Zemo and Agatha. Imagine the memes…
And I killed T’Chaka too. - Zemo
Plz don’t flag
Agatha and Zemo would actually be such a great duo…
I am looking forward to talking about today’s episode!
Watched it, loved it!
I’ll have a full review of it later but the episode basically used the exact scene I created with my Lego Sam, Bucky and John figures. It’s like Marvel literally knew exactly what I wanted here. Obviously it was much less cringy though.
“filming for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier began in October 2019 in Atlanta.”
Not all of it was though. A lot of had to be reshooted this past summer and fall.
You can tell from how the actors have slightly more facial hair in certain scenes and whatnot.
I just watched ep 4 yesterday and I haven’t seen today’s episode but want to get my thoughts in. Loving it!
It was very terrible and what he did was horrific. I suspect he’s going to be celebrated as a hero. The government is going to spin it “He took down a super soldier terrorist! Hurray! America is tough on crime and values national identity” or something like that.
Yes. That was a great fight scene. Was very telling when one of them picked up the shield but was ordered to leave it.
I think she’s the power broker
She’s made some bad choices though - it was her decision to kill the people in the warehouse explosion and she’s threatening to harm children. It’s obvious from the body language and exchanged looks that the other super soliders aren’t comfortable with her decisions but are following her for now. I hope though she’s realized at the end of the episode that she’s made some bad choices. If you see her face in the crowd at the end she’s horrified and shocked.
I see him as representing Walker’s conscience. In the other episodes he was the one who encouraged Walker to slow down or show restraint. Now that Lamar’s gone and Walker is a super soldier he’s going to go off the deep end fast.
Yes…
She is really sus since the thing with Batroc
Getting worse in ep 5 imo…
Actually, if you do look at the description for the new episode is that he faces the consequences, so yay! I haven’t watched th new episode though so I don’t know for sure.
But I feel as that won’t be the case.
Oh my gosh, we summoned Polaris. And I was quoted in it!
Completely agree. However, I did notice how he actually didn’t want to fight Sam and Bucky in the 5th episode, but Bucky wanted to. That showed he slightly had some restraint or fear of them, and obviously, they beat him. But as we see from the end, he’s fully US Agent now, a definite anti hero. Also it shows Bucky still has some of the Winter Soldier anger inside him.
WOW! Thanks for sharing Polaris. You are welcome on this thread anytime
I cannot wait to watch this next one ASAP.
Alright, I’ve reflected on the episode a bit more and have gathered my thoughts. Let’s review this. Just one away from the finale. Ooh boy.
So to start off, the big cameo was cool. But I think it was a set up for a potential future Thunderbolts imo and let me explain how. So Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. She is heavily connected to Nick Fury in the comics and as shown by her consoling Walker, she may be trying to build a counter Avengers. Walker being the first member
Speaking of Walker, that mid credits scene was awesome. He’s US Agent now, a enemy of the government and Sam and Bucky, and I think the Thunderbolts will be a perfect place for him.
Zemo being handed over to the Wakandans could set up some Black Panther 2 stuff like I thought. It has mega potential.
Sharon is for sure sus. I mean, breaking out Batroc was cool, I love seeing him around, but that was sneaky for sure. Anyways, it’s gonna be cool to see how she may become villainous.
I think what I loved about this episode most was how it finally was a Falcon story. Bucky doesn’t do much here, Sam is the big focus and his training scene was everything. It had major Rocky vibes, the only thing missing was Eye Of The Tiger playing. Missed opportunity, Marvel…
Also, I’m glad we finally got to see the scenes from the trailers. But yeah, Sam is a great role model for young people and his scene actually has inspired me to keep working out and to get to that point, it was so awesome.
TL:DR. Great episode. So excited for the finale.
FINALLY CAN SHARE THOUGHTS
It was amazing. Finally Falcon is embracing becoming Cap America in his own way and taking the mantle.
I saw a post on Instagram that was like Steve was the idealism of America, Walker is what America is, and Sam is what America can be. I do not remember the exact words, but that feels really accurate based on Sam and his character development.
I loved the thing where one of the boys calls Sam, well, Uncle Sam. I took notice to it this episode because Uncle Sam was and is used in war propaganda. I had to mention it real quick because I love history and I think that was intentional.
I agree. I said it quite a few posts back.
This is a really good analysis, and I agree.
Yeah, but her fight is valid and she can be good.
For sure! I loved this transformation. Quite obvious in the credits scene.
Totally, and I really like this setup! I had to do some research on who she was lol. It will bring some interesting conflict and stuff in the future. Very cool. Also the actor is amazing!
Crossing fingers!
She is the Broker.
Music rights, but it was great. I like Falcon more than Bucky, so I was glad to see him being a focus.
I think that box from Wakanda is his new armor and look. Cannot wait to see it!
On another note, Big Shot debuted today, and I will be watching, so we can also talk about that if it interests anyone.
What is that?
It is a series about a girls basketball team. I am also watching Game Changers.
This article assists with info on the cameo. They were going to be in Black Widow before this by the way.
Falcon and Winter Soldier: Madame Hydra Explained, Julia Louis-Dreyfus
It is clear that Sam Wilson is becoming Captain America or American Falcon, Walker US Agent, and finally Torres is becoming something known as Falcon II. Here is another article about that.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Just Teased Three Major Superhero Transitions in One Episode
Sounds like the New Avengers are forming.
My question is what role Bucky will play now. Maybe like Sam’s mentor and like a guide to him being a better Cap? Joaquin being Falcon makes perfect sense, he becomes him in the comics. I just hope Bucky doesn’t retire soon. We need more of him. But maybe this will set up a movie of the two of them. Sort of like a Rocky/Apollo relationship. First starting off as frenemies, then partners, then mentor/mentee. Maybe. Idk.
