So, is anyone else beyond excited for Disney Speedstorm? It’s all the Disney magic I play DHBM for, but in an actual game, and not a glorified list of chores!

DHBM is free to play. What’s your point?
Just doing the same monotonous things day after day in a game that isn’t even fun.

I know right it’s going to be an good game and well it be free to play on consoles Nintendo switch ps4 ps5 xbox one xbox series x and PC it comes out this summer
This is a DHBM forum. It is an actual game, even if you don’t find it fun, it has real actual people behind, who’s real actual job, is to really actually develop, real actual updates, that really actually add, real actual new characters, real actual new Levels, and real actual new content.
Speedstorm is free. DHBM is free. They both contain in app purchases. Gameloft made Disney Getaway Blast and Disney Magic Kingdoms, both much worse games than DHBM when the paywall rears it’s head. What makes Speedstorm seem so much better than DHBM? It’s going to continuously get updates to add more characters. That’s no different.
You can play it on a bigger screen? Cool, no you can enjoy Joycon drift while playing, a problem DHBM does not have. It’s on PC? You can easily play DHBM on blue stacks.
The grass is always greener on the other side. My grandpa always told my mom that there’s horse… “Poop” on both sides. If you like Kart racers I get that, I plan on picking it up myself, and I understand the option to play on a console (PS or Xbox) adds the option of using a controller wich is not possible here in DHBM. But the game WILL have problems, as ultimately every Disney crossover game has.
DHBM has struck a crucial balance, being money sucking enough to stay afloat, but fun enough to play without spending. Disney Infinity fell due to costing too much. Disney Crossy road fell for not charging enough. I hope Speedstorm strikes a good balance, but if it doesn’t I won’t be surprised.
If the reason you actual said it wasn’t an actual game, really just boils down to “It’s mobile lol, it’s not a real game” I would like to remind you that:
It is an actual game, it has real actual people behind, who’s real actual job, is to really actually develop, real actual updates, that really actually add, real actual new characters, real actual new Levels, and real actual new content.
It is just as real as any other game you’ve ever played.

Speedstorm looks fun. And the characters level up. Tbh I already like it a little more than Mario Kart because of that. Because if Speedstorm didn’t have anything to unlock, which it will because it’s ftp, then at least leveling the characters give me a reason to continue playing. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe gave me no reason to play besides with friends since all the racers are already unlocked. And the kart piece unlocking method is so stupid. I really hope MK9 fixes that when they release that game in 2025.
I just hope Speedstorm controls as well as Mario Kart. But if Nickelodeon can make an okay racing game, I know Disney can do better.

If it has Stitch and Pooh characters/locations then I will likely get it!
Since Chris Pratt is in Mario kart and Garfield kart, I’m hoping for barley in speedstorm.
I hope one of the inside out emotions Joy Disgust Sadness Fear and Anger are coming to the game speedstorm
