We need to spend more and more and more cause the economy of the game is in hyperinflation mode.
But nobody will tell that (as IRL) the gains are a tiny fraction of the expenses (for free, I mean).
This topic really about all contests, but used fortify as the worse corporate of it all . Bumping again @Samm since u all not responding yet… if u can nerf sally quickly and remove from friendships, certainly u can help use out on this instead of being in hyperinflation mode as @The_Real_Numi puts it.
well this weeks’ FTN, from what i calculated, i’ll need to spend: 20600 diamonds and 13.7M stamina just to reach 1M points.
the point system is getting more and more ridiculous
Unfortunately it looks like contests will become the same as Heists and Megavirus, where people just simple do not waste time trying to complete it.
@Samm could the team please look at the point calculations? It is really getting out of control and majority of players are unable to get progress rewards even…
@Samm any feedback or acknowledgement about contest scoring??
Not even all the top 10% of players were able to hit progress rewards on Server 1?
Surely this is not the intended completion %?
I really hope it isn’t, for the future of the game to continue
Like seriously , the feedback and comments I think has been a lot less frequent in comparison to the last community manager from perblue side. I get they busy but come on isn’t that part of the job as a community manager to reply to the game community? Like it’s hard to have a civil conversation about anything when one side is like talking to itself or a wall. Like do we have to go all out Sheldon mode for acknowledgment?
It’s not something we’re looking to change at this time.
Although disagree with the answer, thanks for at least acknowledging the topic post.
That is truely very very sad to hear Samm
As a player for the last 5 years, I am deeply disappointed with the current state of the game.
The extreme powercreep in heroes do not give me a optimistic look of where things are going.
The deals offered are not of a supportive nature and the difference between “amazing, unique” deals and the regular, daily deals that appear are truely scary. $20 can either get you 4 MILLION stamina packs or 100k… surely something is wrong here?
All game modes are lacking motivation to play:
- Heist: boring and time consuming with insignificant rewards
- Invasion: repetative, boring, rewards are outdated already, despite being refreshed recently
- Coliseum and Arena: same defense lines every season despite the rules being recycled every few seasons; no incentive for lower players to try due to the “power rule” and the rewards are outdated to a point where spending $5 will give you the same rewards as spending hours for 3/4 seasons trying to make it to first place - not worth the effort and time anymore
And now contests are added to the list, where it is simply just not worth it to try make the most of our daily resources and the only people benefiting from contests are the ones who could just buy the contest rewards for $20 and move on with their lives.
I beg you to please reconsider, look at the evidence we post on the forums, the tickets we raise time and time again on things that are wrong.
We WANT to keep playing, but the team is making it very very difficult at the moment and are not providing enough support to help us…
Please help us to be able to keep enjoying the game that we really really love to play.
To be honest Hiest mode the only thing I enjoy about the game as it’s the only thing feel can finish/accomplish anything in at this point. Although the recent invasion updates in tiers was good for the game like the newer guild perks… it just was introduced way too far in the game and is outdated at time of release/stage of the game. I agree the state of the game is just sad to most of us players who want to keep enjoying the game with their guildmates… but we just don’t get enough support. Not saying it’s your fault at all @Samm , but definitely is from your higher ups who I am sure pushing this agenda. Just sadder with every update that goes on without real quality of life improvements to the players.
@Samm can I just show you what I mean please? (Server 21 data, but the same applies to S1)
Deal for $10 (that I can buy twice) - this deal is also very outdated compared to other deals available:
Rank 1 of contest:
- Jake chips: contest gave 6,630 versus $20 deal 4,180 x2
- Red skills chips: contest gave 52,610, nothing in the deal, however there are 1,607 x10 red skills crates giving at least 800,000 red skill chips for random heroes. However, city watch can easily be raided too for Jake chips if you want him specifically
- Megabit crates: contest gives 1,310 versus $20 feal 3,742 x2
- Various crates: these are given for free in market and prize wall so 0 value for someone who are getting rank 1 in contest
- mod power: 150,000 is not even enough to get 1 mod to level 30 therefore 0 value again for someone who has enough resources to get to rank 1
- Clocks: 680 can be bought in another deal and is worth less than $1 on its own
Do you see the problem?
For less than $25 someone can buy all these rewards quite easily
Yet, the amount of stamina and gems required to spend to hit just the 1m point mark far exceed this cost even for a deal currently going on on S21 of $20 for 1.5m stamina
It just does not make sense…
@The_Real_Numi @Musketeer-Endgame do one of you have a calculation for the contest required stamina spend to get 1m points perhaps?
The only contest I even try to do anymore is guild contest, because all the other ones especially F.T.N contest suck anymore and even guild contest are starting to suck as well, oh let not even get started on surge since they won’t fix that as well
Around 16-17M stamina, so around 300k stamina consumables.
There were deals for 3.75M Premium Stamina for $20… so 300k is roughly $1.75 worth.
Or 5M Premium Stamina for $30… that’s $30/16.6666 = $1.80
I’ve given up of FtN. I usually only got to tier 3 or 4 before, but even if I save all my diamonds from the Prize Wall and hoard all my stamina from PW, I can’t even get to the 1st tier in the duration of the contest (and I mean not even close to getting it).
I can do pretty well on most of the other contests, but FtN is too far gone with very little chance of being fixed. I can understand not getting top prizes, but the average active player should at least be able to reach the first tier.
I was actually thinking about this today and I’m not sure how the cost lines up.
I know that it used to be far cheaper to get to the million points milestone than it is right now. I understand that. But do y’all remember when contests were only for the weekend? I think making the contests span 6 days is one of the best changes made in terms of QOL.
Does the increased resource cost for top rewards factor in the extra days we have to complete it?
Genuine question - I haven’t done the math.
