Friendships and...Rivalries?

With the release of The Beast, I thought of something today…what if alongside friendships there were rivalries in the game? I mean, if Gaston and The Beast are on the same team, there are bound to be some issues lol.

So what if rivalries existed between characters that are enemies in their movies and these rivalries bumped stats if facing each other, or lowered stats if they are on the same team.

The Beast & Gaston
Hercules & Hades

In the future it could affect
Nala&Simba & Scar

I’m sure other villains are planned for Disney Heroes (something I find ironic considering the name lol) but could that be an interesting dynamic for the game?

But then Buzz and Zurg are friends, and so are Alice and QoH. Also Hades and Meg are friends

I mean, yes, and no.

I don’t like the idea of them lowering their counterparts stats. I mean, this would be different if this was against an opposing team. Ex: Beast deals bonus damage against virus Gaston, or maybe Scar steals more health when fighting virus Lion King enemies, those kinds of connections.
