I’ve had lag issues and crashes in the past, but the game would never crash more than once a day, if that. Today though, it’s lag city and any time I try to do any kind of battle, or even type a message, the game crashes. What gives?

It could be your device. It maybe too old or you just have too much stuff that it can’t process it all at one time.
