Hi all. We’ve really struggled with the war matchmaking this season/month. We’re rank 9th in our server and out of 14 wars, matched against the top 6 guilds. We fought the top 4 guilds TWICE. So we only won 4 wars this time and we have a full guild who contribute to war effectively.
We need a new way of matchmaking to make it fair to all and prevent guilds from throwing fights to adjust MMR etc… let’s try and promote active guilds/players!
It’s so disheartening as a ruler trying to get your guild to be excited for wars and active when you’re getting the top four guilds at the start of the season and then the end because you’re just outside of the 7 war repeat. You just get the 5th and 6th strongest to fight in the break. We’ve lost so many wars because the jump in power different it’s ridiculous and our mmr goes down by 23, then we get matched against someone who’s two leagues ahead of us and has 400 more mmr? Surely there’s a better system? Even changing it to not fighting the same guild in 10 wars or in a season gives lower guilds more of a chance!
Agreed, completely getting bored of the game and it’s becoming less enjoyable due to the fact we keep having the same opponents.
There is absolutely no chance we are going to win against the top 6 guilds twice, especially when they have practically destroyed us previously this month.
We should be given points based on how many people attack as well, not just about if they have more power and are able to win especially if multiple people in their team do not attack.
The more people attack the more points we get.
It’s making the game difficult to enjoy when we have literally no chance of winning no matter how hard we try!
I will admit, it does make the game less fun. I do my best to keep up with the higher guilds and I constantly have issues facing them. I know that as a whole we are a powerful guild, but we need more variety. I’d recommend randomizing against the 20 guilds around us, not consistent difficult battles.
Yes the matchmaking is terrible you should be matching against guilds that are in the same division as you + mmr rating. You should only face the same guild once’s during a war season.
We seem to be punished because we are stuck in the middle of being too powerfull for guilds below us and no way powerful enough for guilds above us.
Changes need to be made to war and soon
2 Years since I created this post and it’s still valid. I’d love to see a change in matchmaking algorithm!
