I finally got my Nick to 5 stars, yay, and for fun I decided to run an elite Nick mission to see if I could get further chips. I did get one and under Nick’s character screen the chips went from +0 to +1. My question is; what point are extra chips and can I still get character chips for a max star character from diamond crate pulls?
It would seem a bit silly to continue to get random chips for a hero if the chips no longer serve any purpose.

They’ll add something like the soul market from DS later on, for now don’t waste em
It’s almost a guarantee they’ll have a use later on. Like McBeef said, DS made use of them and this is a near carbon copy of that game.
So I just noticed this today. Seems at a high enough friend level, missions become available that give multiple disk power up items, and require a character chip to start. Definite use for extra chips right there!
