Hero Concept — Princess Mombi (Return to Oz)

So, I honestly doubt anyone at PerBlue will look at this and go “wow, this is a great concept”, but at least I tried, not to be taken seriously, I kinda over exaggerated the abilities. Apparently the character has a cult following — let me know if anyone’s a part of that as well… :joy:

I think this is a unique character concept, but of course it needs lots of changes to meet Disney Heroes standards…

For all who don’t know (without spoilers), Princess Mombi is a main character and the secondary antagonist of the 1985 Disney film, Return to Oz, who has the ability to switch heads.

Type of Hero: Control

Trial team: Red

Quote:Not beautiful you understand, but you have a certain prettiness, different from my other heads. I believe I’ll lock you in the tower for a few years until your head is ready. And then I’ll take it!

Description: With the Wheelers by her side, Mombi struts through the battlefield searching for the fairest head to steal.

Win animation: Mombi takes off her head and laughs sinisterly.

Abilities

Basic Damage
Mombi throws random Oz artifacts at enemies, dealing x basic damage.

White Skill: “Cabinet 31”
Mombi quickly takes out her pretty head and holds it up for the enemies to see, charming the closest enemy. The enemy’s basic damage is increased by 50%, lasting for ten seconds.

Green Skill: “Give Me Their Heads”
Mombi shows up 5 seconds late to battle. Upon arriving, she snaps her fingers, stealing x HP from the enemy with the most power. She then gives 100% of that HP to the two allies with the lowest HP, splitting it 50/50.

If there are one or fewer allies on the field upon arriving, Mombi will instead convert the stolen HP into x basic damage per remaining ally and herself.

The amount of stolen HP converted into basic damage is reduced when the enemy is above level x.

Blue Skill: “Find Her!”
Mombi obeys three Wheelers to dash through the battlefield, dealing x amount of damage per enemy.

Wheelers have 25% chance to instantly K.O an enemy if they are shielded.

The chance to instantly K.O an enemy with a shield is reduced when the enemy is level x or above.

Purple Skill: “Princess of Oz”
Mombi is now immune to basic damage and debuffs done and given by support-role heroes. Every time an ally dodges a disable, tank-role and damage-role enemies lose all buffs.

The chance for Mombi to dodge support-role basic attacks is reduced when the enemy is above level x. The chance for all tank-role and damage-role enemies to lose all buffs is reduced when they’re level x or above.

Red Skill: “Loads of Heads”
When a Wheeler during “Find Her!” deals crit damage against an enemy, they now have a 50% to turn the enemy to stone, dealing x amount of damage per second for 5 seconds.

“Give Me Their Heads” now additionally grants all allies with a shield with x HP that lasts for 8 seconds.

Every time an ally successfully scares a damage-role enemy, they are instantly K.O’d.

Once per wave, Mombi will hold up a green, emerald-colored object and shout “OZ!”, reviving a random K.O’d ally with x HP. If there are no K.O’d allies, Mombi will instead increase ally attack speed by 50% for 10 seconds.

Mombi now gives an ally 300 energy per every enemy they K.O through basic damage.

The chance to stone an enemy is reduced when they’re above level x. A revived ally’s HP will be reduced if they’re lower than level x.

…why did I do this again?

Since no one else has said anything I figured I’d offer some feedback.

This skill is missing a variable

You can just say ‘She gives 50% of the stolen HP to the two allies with the lowest HP’ as that is less wordy but conveys the same meaning.

That’s not how a conversion would work… it should be a 1:1 conversion or a percentage amount so just say that she converts the HP into basic damage

If it is meant to become a variable amount of basic damage then you should remove the ‘convert’.

Also, when you say per remaining ally and herself does that mean she gets basic damage per the number of (ally and herself) or her and the ally both get it? The wording is unclear as per implies the former but based on the rest of the skill the latter would make more sense.

:man_facepalming:… just say ‘from’ rather than that word jumble

*enemies

This is very useless as damage and debuffs are not the main point of support… change it to control role and you’ve got a decent skill

Every time is too OP, maybe it could just affect the enemy whose disable was dodged.

There is WAY too much going on here… get rid of at least 2 of the effects as you’ve just created a full skillset in one skill.

… Given that turning to stone does nothing but D.O.T it is beyond pointless to have written it like it’s another effect

Nope nope nope nope nope!!!

Red skills don’t give new animations so this wouldn’t work at all…

It’s nothing serious, I don’t see why it’s being taken so seriously  it’s just a silly suggestion hero overall, I’m no developer for this game obviously, I just want the hero in general :joy: but if you are really that invested, you could just rewrite what I “suggested”, perhaps? :eyes:

I may even rewrite this myself, although I wasn’t trying to be all-too serious with the abilities. I kinda just clustered all of my ideas together, but the more I look at this concept the created the more potential I think it has regardless. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

But thanks for the feedback lol, I’ve been waiting all day for someone to say something
