That one of the main problem with those imposible contest, IT THE ONLY WAY TO GET TREADS. Trying to justify the increase in difficulty for better reward make no sense when it the only way to get costume, i dont even care about the x10 diamond box, i want the costume! I started playing this game for zootopia. If they dont want all of us to get the box, then remove them and give the high ranked whale to please them.
Same thing on server 1
@Nick_Wilde_XXXI: Such a good point. I don’t know why they make the threads ONLY available in contests… The point of a costume change is supposed to be for FUN and aesthetics, and it doesn’t add to the complexity or strategy of the game (costumes don’t matter in the arena or any battles).
@Emitz: Yes there are passive and active ways to get these tokens. I can grind away at the Heist and spend my 29 Heist Tickets. But that requires TIME. Same thing with the Arena, Coliseum and Surge. I have to do actually compete and wait for the pay out (ranking rewards) or when Surge ends to claim the prize…AND YOU HAVE TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN. That’s part of the grind. But I also want my hard earned time to be rewarded with these contests. I just don’t get PerBlue’s logic to DECREASING the point system for this contest. I don’t want to be on this game the ENTIRE DAY. I have a life in the real world to attend to.
@CowardWhisper8: Yes the game provides challenges. I have yet to break level 150 in the Breaker Quest of Invasion get stuck around level 120ish. I have been stuck in the Platinum V level of the Arena for a month but was very happy to get out recently. I also finally got to enter Challenger rank in Coliseum, only to get knock back off by another player and ending up in Platinum 1, Rank 1 again. I also haven’t gotten my guild to Rank 20 or higher in Guild War. Nor have I gotten to the top 100 ranked players in this server. But by golly, I just need a contest to be fun and exciting and NOT A CHORE LOLE THE REST OF THE GAME.
You’ve hit the nail on the head with the last statement here.
The contests feel like chores now instead of fun.
I don’t want to have a game that I used to enjoy feel like a “chore” for me to do. I’ve spent several hours today grinding through Heists, buying gold for diamonds (a horrible idea) and all to get another measy 35k points.
I’m now at 953k points and realized, even with grinding the last few heists tokens I have left, spending all my diamonds for gold…I will still be short by about 10k-20k for the final reward of this contest.
PerBlue, I’m sorry to say, but, this contest this month has killed a lot of my urge and desire to play this game. I’ve spent an entire months of tokens in game and my hard-earned money just to still realize I won’t be able to complete a contest, in a game I’ve played since Beta.
At this point, I’d hope PerBlue offers some threads in apology for this contest, as there is no way I’m making up my ingame losses in tokens, diamonds and money now. And with what I’ve spent, there is no possible way for me to get that Nick Wilde costume no matter what I spent in the next few contests this month.
~SIgned,
Now rather infuriated veteran player
Niet normaal deze wedstrijd.
Yet another contest i will be boycotting. FTN is a joke, and now this one. The last time it ran you reduced the points per token per blue, now it is a huge jump from what it was. This is not balance, this is absurd.
Looks like some other game will start to get my money…
Like every other time, they go completely off the radar… why is every single time us players have some complaints, they always remain silent???
No comment, no explanation, nothing at all
This is how they treat their customer???
Wow, just wow
How would you respond to your customers if they made a post like this?
Wpuld you prefer they respond with some Stupid answer that is obviously not the case and then get a bunch of hate speech because they bothered to answer the players?
If you tell me that would never happen, I could cite a few places in which that did happen.
They could at least say that they would consider our opinions and would make a appropriate changes to make a better game environment.
The reason they get a bunch of hate speeches is not because they answer, but because of the content of their answer (not based on true fact of the game, focused only a small part of the player base, …)
And I mean, in the first place, if they make the right choice, our player base would never get mad over literally everything like now
The pay out goes down because there are more coins horded on the servers. This is due to the fact that they haven’t really updated the shops in months.
The point of these contests is to try and purge some of those horded currencies. Except they make the prizes garbage so people would rather hold onto their coins, then the next time it comes around the amount of horded coins has increased substantially, resulting in substantially reduced pay outs.
If they made the rewards meaningful or updated their shops they would purge the currency. Instead they just keep repeating the same mistakes over and over hoping they will somehow pan out this time.
If your customers regularly respond to you with anger you are doing something wrong and you should consider changing something.
I think you miss the point that they are speaking to their customers. This means they have created a product they are selling to other people. They aren’t doing this cause they are just nice guys. Their customers have every right to be upset about a product they spend money on. And they have a responsibility to answer their customers.
If you bought a broken toaster would you complain or would you be too scared to in fear the world would become toastless? Because I guarantee you if you complained about the toaster, the toaster company would still make toasters.
I never get these attitudes that you have to walk on eggshells with game companies. They aren’t going to stop making the game because people yell at them no matter what those people say. They will only stop making the game when it becomes unprofitable.
Another issue, that someone touched on is that they aren’t refreshing the heroes in the shops. Once I’ve 6*’d a hero, why would I spend 500-ish tokens on it? Sure I need some extra, but I’ll get those along the way. And if I’m not spending that 500 each day…that’s points I’m not acquiring…
I don’t know if you guys caught this, but Polaris made a statement about their recent “Bad Eggs” Events (the one that ran for 8 days). While I enjoyed that event, it just made me a little more angry. How is now grinding and stressing about how to compete the 1 million mark that fun. I used to be able to complete this task by day 3. I am 300k away from 1 mil and have already exhausted all my hoarded/saved tokens. What’s worse, is that when I look at my guild, and around 40ish of them are not the Pay to Play players (I pay a decent amount each month to play this game in order to be “competitive”) and NO ONE is even close to making the 1 mil mark…sad days are ahead
I get the frustration guys, but if you look at the prizes they’re not as amazing as they usually are. Yes they increased the cost of getting them, but I don’t think it’s critical to achieve top rank this contest as usual. I’m glad to see PerBlue balancing it out a little in light of the increased difficulty.
The problem is that we want the threads, we cannot get them any other way. Most people, me included, dont care about the diamond box at 1 mil. Just the threads. I also spended a sizable amount since beta like a idiot in this game to stay competive and it imposible for me to complete this contest.
Why dont they sell threads in city watch? 500 tokens for 5 threads, just like chips. Give us a reason to spend the tokens.
Very correct and I can relate to this painstaking contest.
Maybe 500 tokens for 10 threads. A lot of those tokens take a while to get so it would either be a month of grinding for a single costume, or 2 weeks instead. I think more people would play the mini-games and like if it were 10 threads instead of 5, thus bringing PerBlue more money and happier customers.
