Is Color+Number what determines character power?

I tried to get started on Kim-Joy’s friendship campaign, but they didn’t do well because they were not powerful enough to take out wave 2 in battle 1:

!

I found this improbable, since they should have at least had a chance to get through.

So now I am wondering if level and skill level means nothing, that success or failure is dependent on the color/number ranking system alone.
That Kim and Joy are being defeated simply because they are not Red8.

Exactly, there is a chance that they might pass the level so it was never guaranteed to work. Also, Quick Fight uses Auto which could impact the win chance given that you may want to use the same version of Kim’s active each time or save Joy’s healing.

I didn’t use Quick Fight at all, it just gets disabled if you fail to win the battle manually.

I couldn’t figure out if there was any specific timing to Kim’s skills to defeat the enemies in wave 2.
And all Joy does is heal, so she is no good for offensive attacking, meaning Kim has to do all the work.

But Joy at Level 172 and Kim at Level 154 should have at least been fighting on an almost equal level with their enemies, but apparently they were not.

Oh, I saw that it was greyed out so I assumed that was what you did.

Unfortunately, the only way to pass it will probably be to upgrade them both. I wish Friendships scaled better to match the hero’s rank better.

the enemy power is more than double that pair? :man_shrugging:

level and rank both contribute to power rating.

It’s not the sole factor. There are other things as well. Such as friendship disks, skills, badges and enhancements, mods with upgrades. U need to see if your stats are improved. That’s the best way to see power. But even some disks don’t apply stat boosts to your same hero. But it depends.
