I haven’t played heist very much, but in a game of heist I was playing there was this guy who joined and did nothing at all for the whole game. Is there some sort of way in which afk players who dont contribute at all can be removed to make an open position for another player?
There really should be because this leeching is a real problem in heist.
Agree, something needs to be done about this. A lot of us server 1 players doing the beta test had reported this quite a bit.
I’m surprised heist got released without addressing this issue.
This really is an issue. Was just in a hesit with 4 others afk. Of all the problems and bugs to iron out on heist this one needs it most I think.
I’m a Heist newbie. I think it’s because of hero restrictions. We’re not allowed to use the same heroes. We need to use different heroes so it would be best to have a nearly full roster or better yet have most heroes. Is this correct ?
Real issue. One solution can be automatic kick-out if one is afk for 2 minutes.
So what if someone came in and defended 5 valuables and didn’t do anything else? They’d get kicked for being “afk”?
Not saying it’s not an issue but time based wouldn’t work as there’s value for not moving.
Easy. Defending valuable should not qualify as afk.
Ive done a handful of heists today on server 4 and I never had an afk except for an afk host so we couldn’t start a heist. Aside from that if this is such a big issue easiest solution is just don’t do heist with randoms. Anyone who can access heist should be part of a guild so just heist with your guildmates. If yoy don’t have active guildmates than that’s not a heist problem that’s a your guild problem. It would be nice for those who play with randoms to have some sort of kick feature for afks and for those people who do it on a regular basis to be suspended from heist for a time. Just my two cents.
When making a new game it takes forever for people to join the lobby why I don’t know you would think you would join a fresh lobby/game instead of a game that has lost most of the gems
Afk players are definitely a problem. To chat during heist isn’t very convenient either. You need basically take off your eyes from the main window.
But my main point is, this game mode takes too long with the higher difficulties.
Why don’t reduce the total of players to 4? This would address the afk issue partially, I think
