My idea is simple. Just nerf Jack sparrow! His ult is way too powerful. It takes 30 seconds testing to see it seriously! It’s game breaking in pvp.

They recently gave Jack a buff because virtually everyone in the forums was complaining that he was useless.
I agree that he is super high power now but he is certainly not unbeatable. He doesn’t cope well with high cc characters and if you can keep his white skill under control then he is actually still pretty squishy.

Jack is vunerable to controllers, as staying in front makes him the target for everyone. And yes, he deals no fantastic damage, so characters with high armor may help you.

We already tackled a thread with the same issue… but I guess we can post the same replies…
What makes Jack Sparrow hard to beat is the fact that his Blue Skill gives him extra Basic Damage, which his Skillset is comprised of. This is further amplified if Jack has his One Wilde Night Disc, which, when his Blue Skill activates, gives Allies extra Basic Damage.
I saw a lineup in which a Jack Sparrow (Ni) has 3 Allies which are at White Rank. Naturally, these 3 Allies are Knocked Out, causing Jack Sparrow’s Blue Skill to activate and win against a team twice as Total Power as he has.
Now, how can you counter Jack Sparrow?

Use High Armor Tanks - Baymax, Chief Bogo, Hercules, Mr. Incredible, The Queen of Hearts, Ralph, Rex, and Shank. These might not be your typical Tanks, but they can soak up Damage from Jack Sparrow

Use High Fantastic Damagers - Jack Sparrow has low Reality, so he is vulnerable to Fantastic Damage. Use Heroes like Quorra or Elastigirl

Use Crowd Controls / Disables - You can interrupt / delay Jack’s Blue Skill, which is his trump card like Calhoun’s Purple Skill, by using Disables such as:

- Freeze - delays Heroes’ actions

- Stun - interrupts all actions

- Silence - prevents Skills from activating

- Charm - prevents White Skill from activating
-
- Blind - prevents Basic Attacks from landing
Stun and Silence are your best bet in interrupting Jack’s Blue Skill

Compounding onto what @HeroSSWin said these counters are also true for Jack Sparrow with Barbossa disk. Personally this is the more common one that I see as it gives Sparrow Max HP but more importantly a 10/20/30/40/50% cooldown reduction on his green skill “Acting Dodgy” making him go from dodging an attack every 6 seconds down to an attack every 3 seconds. On top of giving him sustain with having him heal 15/30/45/60/75% of his White Skill’s damage. In this case everything is the same except you may also want to use Tia or Maleficent as a counter with their curse debuff. One last thing of note that I never see brought up about his kit is that if Jack falls while his White is still going off the cannonballs no longer do damage. So even if he get’s his white off it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a lost cause as he could fall before his full damage is unleashed.

That may be true. But that only applies when his teammates fall as well. I have seen more than once that when he falls and his teammate(s) is(are) still in the battle, his white skill still does damage. And, of course kill off my team (as in Friend campaign)

Please close this topic. There is another topic for this exact same complaint. And as most agreed in that topic, sparrow is strong: sure. But he is far from overpowered or broken.

Again, that’s a character that got loads of complaints so she was (recently) improved. We can’t have it both ways guys, rather than complaining about how strong/weak someone is, just find the way to beat them.

Interesting that Jack Sparrow is still considered OP. Cannot wait to see what people start saying about other heroes.

I’musing Merida yes. But her ult is almost always ready after the obe from Jack. And in the last guild war we di, Jack killed several of our team all alone^^ that’s why i was a little salty about it. And no he wasnt several level upper.
