Red skill crates used to be a pretty handy tool to get red skill chips of heroes you needed or had but they have been frozen in time to only give 50 or 100 skill chips which is not even 1 level worth given the current state of the game.
I feel they should be scaled up to give out more red skill chips then they currently give cause I doubt they have been reworked since red skills came out and they are in desperate need of it

A lot of stuff needs refresh…
Red skill crates were good for first few weeks when they were first released… now there’s too many heroes and chances to get what you want is around 0.5% per drop. And it will only give 50-100 chips which is nothing.
It should be updated to 200-500.

Same goes with event red skill crate, it should give at least 1000-3000, up to a jackpot of 30k.

Had is the better thing to say, I would argue. It gives skill chips also for heroes you might not have at red (which makes it useless). So regardless of the lack of scaling, never able to choose for which heroes the crate should give chips 
Huh, I was mulling over a post about Red Skill Crates, except I was just going to flat-out call them useless. Either PerBlue needs to introduce some way for players to limit the pool of heroes from which chips can drop, or they need to drastically increase the number of chips per crate, in order for them to have any value again.

There are too many characters in the game for red skill crate to be useful. It’s’ the same with all the crates honestly…. I recently opened 250 red skill crate, the characters I actually use didn’t even get enough chips to advance +1. NONE of them…. Diamond crates are just as bad. Recently I opened over 10K, yep 10000+, and the characters I use barely got anything useful. AND NONE OF IT meaningfully advanced my game. NONE of it.

I would like the Red Skill Crates for Gold returning, if I can recommend @Loutre.
Don´t know if the liveops team also coordinates the random crates appearing in-game besides the events

They do the crates as well. I’ve given the feedback to the team.

Thanks loutre for passing it along about red skill crates I love red skill crates but they are extremely outdated in their current state

I think Loutre was talking about Numi’s feedback specifically. Numi was talking about other crate, the one bought with diamonds, giving skill chips.

True… however
I would support a change in Red Skill Crate items where they give at least half of the Team Level amount of them (right now 145, though they give 50-100).
Having 145 and 1.5x of that as possible rewards would feel much better.
